What type of damage hurts Margonites in DoA the most?

Is there a difference between hitting them with piercing vs slashing dmg?

And Lightbringer's Gaze. They hate that. I would too if I were them.

Awesome suggestions so far, lol.

Just go with holy damage. Or echo-echo- Lightbringers gaze. Can you do that? Because it would be awesome

It's a skill, so you can only use Echo, not Arcane Echo. Still, with Echo+LB Gaze+LB title on at Max, you can do 210 AoE amage. Too bad it isn't armor ignoring though.

But yeah, for slashing vs piercing, don't think it matters. best damage is always armor-ignoring, and in this case LB Gaze as well.

Holy damage is best just about everywhere.
They are considered "demons," so a demon-slaying mod is nice, as is a +10 vs demons shield.
[by ural's hammer] will make you smile when you see the larger numbers.

**edit: yes [echo] works on [lightbringer signet].. dunno what I was recalling.

I'm using daggers.

I'm trying to know if dmg type matters, not which skill to use.

Of course you can use [[Arcane Echo] - has it been that long that everyone's forgotten Echo-chains? It's just a matter of Arcane Echoing [[Echo]...Arcane Echo - Echo - LB Gaze - copied Echo - LB Gaze - LB GazeBamph.(EDIT)Oops, sorry Mr Beefy - looks like our posts crossed in the ether.Margonites have no specific weakness to any particular damage type. The different classes of Margonite have the same armor strengths/weaknesses as any other race. Expect Rangers to be stronger against elemental, warriors against physical and casters to goo boom as usual.

Echo is a spell. You use Arcane Echo on Echo, use Echo on the skill, then use the copy of Echo on the echoed skill.

Arcane Echo -> Echo -> Skill -> Copy of Echo -> Copy of Skill -> Copy of Copy of Skill. Simple 1-2-3-1-2-1.

@TheodenKing: You can use this chain on the celestial skills Kuunavang gives you in Factions, so why wouldn't it work on LB Gaze? (An echo chain of Celestial Storm takes Shiro down in a BIG hurry.)

Damn - the proxy site I use at work eats up all my formatting, leaving me with unreadable text walls :/

To re-iterate: Margonites have no racial strengths or weakness. Just see them as Rangers, Warriors, Dervishes etc.

Both are treated as Physical damage. The only real time Slashing versus Piercing matters are:

1. When you face skills that reduce damage versus one one these Physical damage subsets, such as [Bladeturn Refrain].

2. When you face foes that have particular resistances/weaknesses to slashing (most plants take more damage from slashing than piercing) or piercing (skeletons are resistant to piercing damage).

As far as I know, Margonites (DoA included) don't use any skills that would make a difference, nor do they have special resistances or weaknesses to piercing/slashing damage.

Sooooo...treat your piercing and slashing daggers as dealing generic Physical damage against Margonites.

Use physical vs rangers and elemental vs warriors, rest shouldn't matter.

Although daggers have near negligible base damage, especially in DoA. You are relying mostly on the +damage from your attack skills, which is armor-ignoring.
