need GWx2 help

i have everything set, but when i go to open GWx2, an error message comes up saying "File not found."

yeah, i did use that one, and the back up one. neither worked...

Run gwx2 again, but alter the shortcut properties so that you have -setup after the path. When you run it now it will open the dialogue asking you to input the paths to the two separate gw.exe that you have already set up.

gwx2 4.0 wont even open for me. it just says i/o file error 32

The most common reason for that i/o error is trying to run gwx2 when Guild Wars is already running. Gwx2 runs both instances of the GW client itself - you must NOT have GW already running.
By the way, is that 4.0 a typo? The current version (which has been current for years!) is gwx2_4.1

i dont have GWs already running when i open gwx2 and yeah i have the gwx2_4.1, my bad just forgot.
and sometimes it gives me the error "file not found"

Pinpointing gwx2 errors is an inexact science at best, but let's eliminate a few possibilities. Apologies if any of these questions seem obvious to you
#1 You have two separate directories on your hard drive, both of which contain identical copies of both gw.exe and gw.dat
#2 Let's use the example that these two directories are both in C:\Program Files\ and are called Guild Wars and Guild Warz. Your paths in gwx2 should look like this:

oh, hey i figured it out, i didnt allow access to the copy file. but now im having a different problem, when the second guild wars window loads, it says there is a problem preventing it from running. ill try recopying the exe file
