Yea well.... it's me again lol.

Anyway, I seem to have troubles playing GW on a labtop. I have a Dell labtop and it isn't new but it isn't old. I also have windows Xp.

The Problem:

Well whenever I open the GW client, it works fine untill maybe 5-10 minutes after I started. I start experiencing MAJOR lag where everybody moves 10000000x slower than normal and it does that for about 15-20 mins untill it resumes to normal for 5-10 minutes. Then the cycle repeats.

What I have noticed:

I have noticed that my labtop generally makes no noise when it's playing GW fine but after 5-10 minutes it starts making a lot of noise (Possible overheat maybe?) and just fails during those 15-20 minutes.

Thanks for the help and if the problem is overheating, I could really use some advice on trying to prevent overheating overall.

Probably get a new fan, I suggest get help ASAP. My sister fan broke on her mac and the hard drive melted. $1200 on a new mac. I'm not sure if it is the problem because laptop bottoms are just hot. Go to bestbuy or any local computer store and ask them to check your laptop. They may cause a fee ($25?) but it's easier than buying a new fan without checking. They could also check if there is any other problems with the slowdown.

What's a LABTOP?

I run GW on a LAPTOP with no major issues, it only laggs a little when I have GW2x running but it is still not that bad.

It does sound like an overheating issue but it's hard to tell for sure without more details. Please post your laptop specs and maybe we could help you more.

download Everest Ultimate (free edition) and run the "Sensor" feature while playing GW... that will tell you the temperatures of allot of different computer components. Post those results for us here....
