(newbie question again)
If I try to map travel when on a team it warns me that I will leave my party.
I did so yesterday and it indeed split the pair of us. we had to find each other in town (complicated by the fact that it looks like we got sent to different districts?) in order to reform, which seems like a waste of time.
The guys I was paired with seemed to think this was normal, but he was also a newbie.
I could swear that on my first day playing (3 days ago ) one of my Guild members transported us both back to town. Did she use a special power, and not Map Travel?

Only Party Leaders can transport the entire party from one town to another town.

if it was out in an explorable area, she either made everyone type "/resign"
or she manually ran to the zone area while everyone else stayed where they were

what other "prerogatives" does the party leader have? kick members I assume? anything else?

First person on the list is the designated leader. He/She can:
1. Map Travel party from one town/outpost to another even from campaign to campaign.
2. Add/drop henchmen to/from party.
3. Enter Missions in Prophecies and Factions.
4. Add/Drop party members.
5. Select Normal or Hard Mode for party.
