Okay I am guessing I should of deserved that earlier thread that I posted to be closed. I thought I was the only one who thought of it... Faction trade center... was a lost cause.

Well anyways, I figured that Anet would probably find having a live auction difficult to handle, so I figured out some other trade methods that can possibly work. Here they are:

The AFK Trade:
You can be afk to trade. All you need to do is sit with a rag in front of you with items you would like to sell, just put a price on them.
Advantage: you will be afk so no need to stay on the screen
Disadvantage: restrictions on negotiations

The Loud trade:
You need to be active and level 20 to use all location talk. Meaning you can speak to everyone in a campaign to try to sell your items
Advantage: You can target everyone
Disdvantage: Out of sync and lag problems

The Balthazar Market:
You are in an isle where you see all the trades in every campaign and location to find good sellers.
Advantage: You find what you are looking for instantly
Disadvantage: If you don't have all the campaigns and locations this provides a restriction.

The Whisper Trader:
You speak to an agent on what you are trying to sell/buy then they go to people far in wide to search for buyers and sellers.

I think trading in Ventari's here on guru is better than any of those ideas.

It pretty much does all the things you listed in your suggestions.

Yes, not everyone who plays uses guru
...but the trade section is really active anyway and you should never have trouble buying and selling.

^That's the only real disadvantage, I guess.

There's serious problems with a lot of your suggestions though.
I mean, have you ever even been to Kamadan?
What you're suggesting would just leave a constant stream of unreadable trade spam ...wherever you are in-game.

Really though, since you seem to be quite interested in trading.
Hang out in Ventari's Corner for a while.

Don't want to deal with trade spam while playing, so absolutely no to these ideas. The afk idea has been suggested, and isn't all bad, but from what Anet has said, won't happen.

Use the in game methods available (Party Search and Trade Chat) or use a website like this one (Ventari and the Auction site).

I'd like to see a weapon mod trader to get rid of trade spam for this next idea. Then have an npc (xunlia trader or w/e) using sell tab take 5 or less items(server load) that you want to sell enter the price of each, buy out only. This npc holds the items. Then in a buy tab it open up under categories such as sword, staves, wands and so on.. then under the heading of sword lists the aviable swords alphabatized along with prices and inscription identification. No bidding buy as is. If you select to buy the item it trades you the weapon into your inventory in exchange for gold required. For the seller returns to see if any item has sold the npc has items left or gold held for withdrawl. Money must be taken out in order to enter more trde items or it becomes a second storage. remove the limit cap on amount of gold that can be traded at one time but leave a cap on amount of gold storage can hold or ectos become an option in the npc trader for high end items. All trades entered will be reconized as account wide entry just like tourny prediction characters are tied together as one.

Basically something along those lines. Not an active bidding war auction house which gw probably can't handle coding wise idk i'm not tech savy :P Keep it simple straight forward.

I've used ventari's, and I've used the auction section on guru, and like most people, I've bought and sold tons of stuff in-game.

I can state quite confidently I've sold more than 2 mil of stuff on the auction section over the past couple of years. It is organized and quite simple to learn. The downside has been that the auction section seems to have a problem with "broken" images.

The downside to ventari's is the organization of the available items. The upside is you tend to find more sophisticated buyers and sellers. I tend to try to sell on ventari's when I have a high-end item to sell, and I use the auction section for the stuff under 100k.

Spamadan works quite well if you are willing to stand around. Your idea of a Balthazar Market is a good one. But really, we are pretty close to having that already.

All I want is a list of offers that can be read regardless of language.

It doesn't matter if a player can sell only one items at a time and has to be online, as long as everyone see the offer and can read it regardless of language.

As an ex-Runescape player, Jagex has created a pretty good trading center where you can put up something for a certain price and someone who is looking for your item can buy it without you having to stand there and spam all day; I would really like something like that.
