duping question

this may have been answered before and I am sorry if it has been but I was wondering...how did people manage to dupe ambraces and things? I understand a majority of them were banned but I was wondering how it was done (no intention of doing it) just out of common interest tbh

It's pretty simple. You put the armbrace in trade and the person that's helping you offers nothing. You accept the offer, but then disconnect before the other person accepts. When they accept, they get your armbrace, but since you were not in game, when you reconnect, you still have the armbrace.

Itr doesn't matter how they did it. A-Net wasted no time in shutting down the mechanism the slime-balls were using.

How i hear it happen was that they would drop the arm brace on the ground disconnect and then when they came back there would be 2 then do it again 4 and so on.

I've heard of the trade version but not the dropping one. I don't see how that one would work really.

There was a thread here when the big armbrace dupe was happening, it should still be somewhere.

It involved a person with two computers, signing in on the same acc at the same time. open trade, d/c on one comp, log in on the other, take/move armbrace, go back to the first, accept trade. Both people involved had armbraces.

That might not be accurate, it's been a long time since I read that thread. The guy who supposedly found it out was very helpful in describing it, but his grammar was atrocious.
