I just reinstalled Guild Wars, although I didn't force it to download all the updates (-image). I just went to go on to see how my lovely characters were doing, and boy, was I in for a surprise.

THE ARMORS ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.
My Dervish, whom I left wearing a combination of Primeval, Ancient, and Vabbian dyed Black, is now wearing an Istani set dyed Yellow. All my characters' armours are totally different.

Does this have anything to do with me not updating the DAT file or will I see this again once I complete updating it?

I shat bricks. fr srs.

If you're talking about on the character select screen, then yes, this is normal. Wait a few moments and they should all change as the right files are obtained. You may need to tab over to each one and wait til it changes. But this is perfectly normal, no need to panic

If however you mean you loaded the game and are seeing them in town in something different, then uh, no idea o_O;

Its like that on a fresh reinstall. Just log into the chars and they'll be wearing their proper armors again.

Oh thank god. I was about to conclude that some putrid hacker with a terrible sense of fashion had dressed all of my characters.

Also, for the record, so shatting bricks doesn't occur again, this same issue can occur after certain types of disconnects. The result is the same though.

Watch you grammar, please. "Shat" is a past-participle - "bricks were shat."

This is not IRC - please try to use proper poop-related syntax.
