I am planning on gaining balth faction by doing random arenas and then getting hero builds off pvx. So, I can go farming with good builds.
Is there any advice you would like to give me?
-----Edit-----
I am planning on getting hero skills through balthazar rewards
Smart idea or bad idea?

Balthazar faction is more easily acquired by doing the Zaishen Elite. There's a guide in the Farming Section of the forums here.
I personally unlock skills by buying them - My Ranger has all Ranger skills, my Monk has all monk skills, etc. This makes them all available for my heroes, AND my characters have what they need

Usually buy the elites, back when zkeys were still worth 5k getting them through balthazar faction or buying them was the same. Now it pays off go get them through faction, but I can't bother to do RA for the amount I need.
Like it's been said, it's easier to do them through the ZE you can get 6k every 24h hours. Otherwise, do some AB at least it's a hell of a lot more bearable than doing RA over and over... mindnumbing.

That's a perfectly reasonable idea, and is part of the reason Balthazar faction exists. I would suggest trying RA, Alliance Battles, and any other PvP form you find interesting.
Although Rhiana has a good point to. If you are willing to make multiple characters, it might be faster just to buy the skills in PvE. Though, if you are still relatively new to the game, making that many characters might take up too much time. Plus, I encourage everybody to at least try PvP.

For someone like you, assuming you are new to pvp, I would say take the pve way of gaining faction. Which is alliance battles. Somewhat like pvp and you gain not only Bfaction but Afaction as well. SO its like a 2 for one deal.
