Hey all,
I registered on this forum to get to know what build is the best for my playing style.
First things first ... I purchased GW at the very beginning when it was released in Europe. I've been playing a W/NE at the time that I brought to lvl 20.
After this I started some other chars that werent that succesfull and I let GW as it was.
Now I'm planning to make a build that is capable of crowd control and PvE only so.. Doing massive damage attacks at once, controlling the battlefield, maybe some great defences and/or healing capabilities.
I only have Guild Wars, none of the expansions.
I really hope that someone can help me out!
Grtz,

So the idea is be the absolute best at everything there is to do in the game, at least PvE wise? It's not going to happen. Each profession has something they're good at, but don't expect them to be able to do everything well. Some professions are a mix of abilities, others excel mostly at doing one thing.
Have a look though the stickys in the profession specific forums and see if those professions are what you're looking for in a character/build.

Simply posting "Please tell me how to play <Profession>!" is an extremely vague query, and will more often than not be closed. If you have a query regarding a profession, please narrow that query down, and ask a more specific question. An example might be "Please can someone help me decide which form of Condition removal is most appropriate for my build?" - remember to post your build, and give us as much information about where you're trying to play.
3. Asking for Builds
Please refrain from posting simply asking for other users to post builds for you. We cannot keep posting builds until we find one to your liking. Please post your own build so that we have an idea of what you're trying to achieve and help you improve it. Moreover, many specimen builds can be found in the stickied profession guides at the top of each profession sub-forum, if you really need that much help in starting a build. Once you have a better idea of what you want to play and have some idea on a build, post it in a profession forum and then we can help you from there.
