Shield mod +10amor or -2damage?
Janlijm
I am farming Underworld with my warrior and now my question is what works better to reduce damage when farming smites/graspings. -2Damage while in stance or +10armor vs physical damage on the shield?
MisterB
-2 reduces more damage for a warrior, since you should already have high armor versus physical. Of course, if you have a tyrian or canthan shield, you can have both + 10 armor(Slashing? I think that's the damage type...) and -2(stance), or even -2(stance), -2(enchanted).

Personally I would go with the +10 armor. I think 10 more armor is a bit more than -2 damage.

Hi, for smites +10vs fire, for graspings +10vs blunt or slashing (forgot what type of damage they do).

My best shield for {most} warrior farming is a -2 +45hp in stance. I have used it for almost 4 years for my warrior farmage and many beast have fell at it's base. So I say go with that.
I agree with above post for smite crawlers due to [Zealot's Fire] I think you may look into a +10 vs.fire on them because that is their main damage.
I think the -2 in stance is great for the Grasping Darkness because they use [Flurry] and it weakens their attacks anyway. Also the -2/+45 gives you a better all around shield to swap to.

Well I am farming as a w/d and with flair I got a stance but i was thinking what if I remove flair and put a other skill in it to do more damage. I was thinking of eternal aura maybe. But then my stance -2 doesnt work. So i thought maybe take +10physical on a shield. But I guess there isnt a quicker version of the w/d possible. :/

Don't remove flail. It's increasing your attack speed by 33% thus increasing your damage by 50%. Although eternal aura works wonders if you are taking scythe, i wouldn't take out flail for it. Better yet, make room for both of them.
Oh, and to answer your question: -2 stance

You don't want to replace [[Flail] if you want to do more damage: [[Flail] increases your damage by 50%, by letting you attack faster and charge adrenaline faster.
There is no + 10 physical mod for a shield: There are +10 Slashing, Piercing, and Blunt. You'd have to match the correct damage type for the foe based on what type of damage it deals. The -2 will reduce more damage anyway, after you factor the warrior's armor rating, Superior Absorption, and/or Knight's insignia.
The W/Me build is the fastest UW smite/grasp build: I've seen a 7 minute run.

Sorry for double post.

I would say -2 damage over +10 armor because my personal experience is that base damage reduction played out better than extra armor most of the time, if not always.
