Legendary Survivor Title
Akeido
I'm over halfway there at 800,000xp at 13 hours played on this character.
I was just wondering what the fastest sprint to Legendary Survivor is, if anyone knows.
I get about 35k exp per run and each run takes 10-11 minutes.
So I should have about 14-15 more runs to do for a grand total of about 16 hours played.
I'm sure it's been done way faster. I wasn't rushing to get to lvl 10 by any means.

^ Max Survivor hasn't been very impressive for quite some time now, unfortunately.

IMO, if you wanted to go for leg surv the only honourable way of getting there is through normal game play i.e. get the title properly rather than grinding kilroy.
Myself and two friends started survivors and while mine died at 750k due to a freak incident capping a derv skill, my two friends are still going strong around 8-900k and we are expecting to get them legendary this weekend.
It is so much more of an achievement doing it this way but well it seems you've already started brawling so I guess u'll continue that way. good luck.

In the end, the only thing other people will see is "Legendary Survivor" Not, "Legendary Survivor By Capping Elites, Not Grinding Kilroy"
...some of us have jobs and families and can't afford to spend every waking hour playing.
You're on the right track, it only takes time.

35k per run is very respectable... you can't do it much faster than that.
ON the other hand, I agree that the title is "tainted" now - no real sense of achievement in it anymore. I remember the elation I felt on reaching lvl 1 Survivor the "old fashioned way" the first time.... it's just not the same anymore. Although, a basically free and easy title is nothing to pass up either (if going for Kind of a Big Deal title track).

As for the OP, I hear Kilroy is the fastest while snow wurms are pretty much the safest.

there are so many stupid things in this game nowadays that this "tainted" title is only 1 of those unfortunatly

No but to me it's the fact that I know I would have gotten it through playing the game rather than "cheating" through Kilroy. That's all that matters to me.

What is the best way of starting this track? And I'm looking for more of an answer than "don't die" or "be careful"
I'm looking for direction, IE hit 10 in Pre, have someone run you to LA in post, then run you to Nightfall and level there... something to help get me focussed.

This title is still quite popular because it somehow looks nice and fancy, though maybe not so difficult anymore. It is actually maybe the simplest and the fastest max for players with good internet, however it is still a serious challange in the case if you have lag-spikes or screen freeze issues even not so often. Screen freeze means death in kegs, kilroy or market popular exp farm places or even if you are unlucky during elite skills capturing. So in the last case maybe the only option is to farm the worms outside Boreal (perhaps this is the real purpose of those creatures). Therefore the value of the title is somethat personal: you getting it bombing hm vaettir's in a few hrs, or via careful strategy during long term play.

I don't know how people say survivor is easy. I've never even gotten rank 1 before. And I'd prefer not to get runs to get to places farther along than I'd normally be at. I'm not made of money like some longtime vets are, so scrolls are out. Don't have EOTN yet either. The game is only easy when you use heroes and/or gimmick builds, if you try to play normal it's too hard to get this title. At least it seems that way.

I just achieved my first Legendary Survivor the other night, on my Mesmer. I'm glad it's over, now I'll never need to attempt it again.
And for those who think that using Kilroy to do it is "dishonorable" they should take note of what the title is for: "reaching 1,337,500 experience without dying" not "complete the whole game without ever dying." The Kilroy run is still risky. My first attempt at Legendary was on an Assassin, he failed at about 800K experience because of lag. Second attempt was a Paragon, he lost at about 1.1 Million experience, though admittedly, that was my fault. I got distracted when my roommate was slamming stuff around in teh bathroom, only to look back and see I had two seconds left. I panicked tried to spam "Stand up!" and didn't make it. Fail.
How a person chooses to get the title is their own business. Some people want to play it safer, others want to take risks.
The important thing is that the statue is in my Hall of Monuments and I never have to farm for it ever again.
Good riddance.
And good luck to anyone else who is going after it.

I have 3 LS (Warrior, Para and Necro). All through Killroy.
Althought I got those titles the easy way, yet I feel so confident that I did it well and invested much time in it.
I don't know if those who criticize LS through Killroy have an LS title. I wish they felt the nervousness (dont have better word) of going to Gunnar's at level 10, and the nervousness of not getting disconnected while doing brawling.
Yesterday, I was in Rata Sum and leech for Asura points. I was leeching. And I said that title doesnt have any effort. So, i respect LS better than that Asura.
Anyway, im proud with my 3 LS.

In Elona, just play until you get the choice of Magrid or MoW - take Margrid, because you should already have Olias by then. (Margrid's mission is easier than MoW's to get past Moddock.) Play until you get Kodash Bazaar open, then head north to Mihanu Township, then farm the Holdings of Chokin map for several weeks until you get the title. It's a pretty safe place to farm XP.
