Is a rez signet on a hero a wasted slot?
awry
Lately it seems like I've been opting to forget the resurrection skills altogether for some more utility skills and surprisingly I haven't run into that much trouble for the most part. Rarely half my party is dead and no one can rez and I'll have to suicide just to get my party back at the shrine, but rezzing is usually done by the henchmen and the hard rez is carried by my hero monk [divine aura]and the henchie monk.
I also find that less rezzes means that my heroes do more to clean up the battle instead of pausing and reviving my allies in to a losing battle to earn some extra dp. I've come from a pvp background and the frame of mind is pretty much, no rez=fail. What do you guys think about rez signets?

Yes, a resurrection signet on a hero bar is a wasted slot. If you can't find a better resurrection skill for them to use, don't give them any. PvE != GvG.

In NM you shouldnt need them, When i H&H, stuff only dies rarely, which is where the henchies res sigs come in. In HM you should be fine with maybe 1 res sig (or DP sig), as long as you have a hard res elsewhere.

If you are running H/H you have res signets on henchies (and hard resses on monks).
That ought to be enough, but I would still take one combat ress on heroes to micro and/or some resurrection scrolls.

just put hard rez on them and micro it

yep. hard rezing is the most effective way to go about PvE-- rez sigs on hench are far more than enough, imo.

Truth be told.....in HM is kind of nice to have hard rez on all heroes cause u never know which one will bite the dust first! One thing i never do when i go with h/h is that i never use rez skills on my bar hm or nm.It`s pretty much useless and if u put it on your bar to rez heroes then u waste much more than one slot for skill :P !

res sigs in NM are pretty useless. however in HM when vanquishing or doing a dungeon, bringing a res sig on a hero can be vital. if you find yourself coming closer and closer to a 60 wipe, having the hero use that sig and then standing FAR away from any battle before they reach 60 dp will allow you to keep ressing at a shrine, regardless of the rest of the team DP.

Res sigs are useless... use scrolls if u need em, or better idea... learn not to fail then u wont need em.

meh, hero's instantly use sigs when someone dies, better than waiting 30secs for a real person to realize someone is dead then get interrupted on their 4sec hard rez. rez sigs are nice for quick fixes if something randomly drops dead from like a boss spike. bring a couple hard resses as precaution though. if u can't get along without the extra skill u want instead of sig, bummer for u ;-)

I actually used that quite a lot in the past.

I put a [[Resurrection Signet] on all my heroes for safety reasons and just because I can't think of anything else to fit in. They have enough utility from out of the seven slots given, but if they really need the eighth also, I guess I can, but it hasn't happen yet. Hard Res instead of Res Signet if they can use it.

I can never find the room I need on my hero bars.

That is actually quite nice, max hp and energy, 25% more damage. The cons are enchant stripping, and longer recharge.
It is also inconvenient when the battle is over since you typically disable and wait out vengeance to perm res your party members. Otherwise they may die quickly in the next battle when their 30s is up.
