XTH Registration

I wanted to register an account to use the XTH feature today, but I misspelled the e-mail adress. (Mine has the number 2 which I totally forgot about..) So anyway, what do I do now? Does the activation e-mail expire after a certain period of time, or is there a way to send it to another e-mail adress?

You'll have to contact support. Most likely have to provide them with proof that the GW account you tied the email address to is yours (the key for instance) and they should be able to jiggle it around for you.

afaik you can just register another one to your real email address and completely forget about the one you misspelled
since you misspelled the email it is not tied to your account in any way

What do you mean I can register another one? I tried registering the same account to my real adress, but it said: The account name you have entered has already been registered.

Btw, I know the guy who I've sent the e-mail to (same first and last name, same college o_O, hence the number 2 in my adress) and he forwarded the e-mail from xth to me. So, if I click the link to activate the account, the account will be registered to his e-mail adress. Does it matter if it's not my e-mail, or should I try contacting support? Will he receive e-mails or something, and is the e-mail adress required for anything in the whole XTH?

In all the time I've used the XTH (a while) it's never sent me an email to the address I signed up with except for password recovery when I needed it. So as long as you remember the PW then I can't see there being an issue and he shouldn't receive any other emails. I *think* there will be a confirmation email when you click the link, but it's been that long since I signed up I don't remember

Since you know him, you might want to ask him to keep an eye out for anything GWy that's intended for you. I mean, he shouldn't get anything, but best to be on the safe side.

I would recommend contacting support though and getting it changed. It would annoy the heck out of me not having complete control of any account GW or not.

I'll just temporarily activate the account using his e-mail adress then, since I want to use it only for XTH (bought Factions first, then complete edition, so I have an extra account I don't really use), and then I'll try contacting support to see if they can change the e-mail.

Btw, how exactly do I contact support? I see there's a support link on guildwars.com, but it takes me to that PlayNC website, with some links I can't click on.. There's this Ask a question option, but I'm not sure if that's it..

Yes, "Ask A Question" would be the way to contact support.

And the GvG predictions are already closed(as of your last post), just the HvH left and that's a guessing game. If I were you, I'd just start the process with support to get your email corrected so you'll have it in time for the next mAT.

It does send out a signup confirmation email as well.
