Disposable heroes
Kenzo Skunk
Do you guys use any heroes other than monks/necros/eles? There is some use of mesmers, rangers and warriors in certain cases, but what with assassins, ritualists, dervishes (other than arcane zeal) and paragons?
Moloch Vein
I use paragon heroes all the time. I don't normally use Rt heroes if I have all heroes unlocked on that particular toon, but otherwise I do, as weapon spellers.
Bong Bro Zac
I like using derv WS when i dont have any other form of DW in the party...and i never use warrior heros unless required, dervs just do it better.... it=everything
zelgadissan
I alternate between all my heroes, with the exception of M.O.X. because screw him. The only almost always stationary hero in my builds is Dunkoro. Discordway/Sabway/Paraway...it all gets so damn old. Xandra uses a [[Spirit's Strength] build, Anton uses a critbow build, Melonni uses [[Wounding Strike] spam, etc. It gets the job done just as well and it's not retardedly boring.
MagmaRed
I use Monk, Necro, Mesmer, and Ranger heroes regularly.
Ritualist, Elementalist, and Dervish occasionally.
Warrior, Paragon, and Assassin rarely.
I find melee AI to be dodgey, so I avoid melee as much as possible. Dervish is the only melee I use unless forced to by a quest/mission. Paragon has nice uses, but I find a human Paragon better than a hero, so if I want a Paragon on the team, I ask a friend or guildie.

Xhizors
I use all Heroes except Melees.
Most play with Para,Nec,Mes,Ele Heroes.

The Meth
Rit's are my favourite heros, rest/chan splint weapons ftw. Always have at least one of them in my group. Usually at least 1 more necro, other spot is whatever I feel like. Never used any melee heroes or monks (though thats because I refuse to use the stupid smite monks that exploit RoJ). Mesmer heroes are kinda meh as well.
caballo_oscuro
I use a mix; monk, ele, necro, warror, derv. Rarely use Rt, but N/Rt quite commonly in 3 nec build. Rarely sin. occasionally para.

Jora,Koss:
[Hundred blades][Sun and Moon slash]
Xandra:
[Weapon of Fury][Splinter Weapon]
Me:
[Spiteful spirit][Mark of Pain]
Works well sometimes

yeah, there are quite a few heros that i don't use but i like having the option there ;-)
Freedom III
I usually bring the following:
Gwen
-Almost always there...
-Resto/Inspiration build...insp interrupts for energy management.
Xandra
-Minion Bomber
Melonni
-anti-burning grenth (water magic, mysticism, scythe)
-fiery weapon dwayna (for vs. shiverpeeks)
Acolyte Sousuke
-fire's promise (energy, fire, deadly arts)
Zhed
-ante-melee earth (energy, earth)
Vekk
-anti-everything water (energy, water)
That's pretty much my lineup of frequently used heroes...pretty small, probably...the real reason I bring these characters is because the four classes contained within this list are the ones that I've played, which means that I can build better builds for them than my other heroes...oh, and generally speaking, I try to make my own builds, because that's half the fun of guildwars for me...

I use my jora for [warrior's endurance] w/ a scythe. [rending touch] helps against many mobs and the aoe melee is always a fun bonus imo, my derv i use for [conjure lightning] + [ws] and for rits I find [jagged bones] bombers fun
rick1027
necro at least one probably two, monk ,mes, para, maybe ele using wards. ranger occasionally rarely use assassin warrior or dervish or rits. i find a secondary with rity can do it just as well for what i need. mesmer is usually my interupt build but occasionally ill use a ranger instead. a para great party support when i rely on henchie monks
TheodenKing
gwen is my powerblocker, and she also handles hexes if I decide to do some crying.
Winterclaw
I tend to use Jora, Gwen, and Talkorah the most, however Jin sees a bit of use as well.
Paul Dawg
Good question.
Like most people, I use necros and paras the most.
I have a domination build that I use on Gwen and it really kicks ass in difficult HM areas.
I use a [dwayna's sorrow] monk when I'm playing with someone else who has a minion master. Otherwise, I tend to avoid monk heroes; it's usually a waste of a hero slot to bring one. If I need a healer and haven't gotten the Sabway N/Rt yet, I'll bring a [word of healing] monk.
I use a pretty standard version of the D/N blood orders necro when there are a lot of physicals in the party. When I'm starting a new character that I need to level, I will bring Mox as a D/W 20 because he can do a lot of damage. Eventually, as I collect better options, he loses his purpose.
I have a couple of sin heroes (A/R, A/D, etc.) that I use when I feel like having fun, but they're not nearly as good as the necros and paras. Just gimmick builds, really.
I NEVER use ele heroes. Frankly, they suck. If I'm ever in one of those annoying missions that requires an ele hero, I use a dual attune build that they can't easily mess up. I kinda dislike ranger heroes too. If I need a minion master and for whatever reason can't use the Sabway bomber, I'll make a Rt/N minion master, but it's not nearly as good.

Boneyard Spleeneater
I have been switching over to Sabway whenever possible, and have used SF eles and Minnion Bombers all along. When necessary, I will occasionally pop in with a Rt (for Eternal Grove).
I also will switch out the MM for a Barrage Ranger with interrupts when corpses are scarce, and BHA when I know there will be nasty casters ahead.
If I need serious interrupt, Gwen gets called into duty on anyone other than my Mes.
Sins and Dervishes rarely get used, and Monks only when I need a particular build or controled res.
Ultimately, it depends on what toon I am using of course. My Mes doesn't use mes heroes, My W never uses Koss, etc.

Depends on what I'm playing. The only set slot is olias as MM, cause an MM makes life easier in about 90% of all zones. My ele goes with 2 ele heroes, my nec goes with full 3 necro heroes for 4 necs and then takes any necro henchmen as well. Ranger goes bp with jin and margrid, etc.
As for the less used classes, well, rit stuff I usually just stick on a necro. About the only use I make of rits is boon/explosive growth minion bombers.
Sins I never really got into, cause they couldn't run sin stuff. Heard they fixed how they used combo's since then, but meh. When I used then it was as crit barrage/scythe. Though I do have anton as a hundred blades, just so I could give him a katana to match his three swords outfits.
Dervs I use as a D/N for mel's avatar and wearying/plague touch for deepwound.
Para's I use with my para to go para way, and my SF ele takes a ToF para along if I'm with guildies or friends going two man. One MM, one WoH monk, the para, and 5 SF eles. We rely on wards and ToF for survival and SF kills pretty much anything that burns. Ele heroes got p-drain and leech sig for interrupts as well.
Monks I only use as RoJ when in undead heavy areas, or as monks when going with friends. Otherwise I just take hench monks rather than waste a hero slot on them.
Warriors I use as hundred blades with curses necs. MoP, barbs, , SS, splinter and hundred do good damage to mobs.
Mesmers are either interrupt+dom mesmers, or FC eles (not that useful in most cases).
Eles are usually SF warders, necs are everything, and rangers are either barrage or BHA.

Paragons are used quite a lot in combination with players using SY! somewhere in their build, so imbagons, dragon slash warrios and mobius DB sins. When combined with a Imbagon they are particularly effective seeing as you can use SY to fuel your energy and therefore maintain [[ebon battle standard of honor] and spam [[vicious attack].
If you give a rit hero [[glyph of lesser energy] or some other form of e-management such as [[offering of spirit] then they can pump out channelling @14 [[splinter weapon (pve) @14]. I sometimes use a build like this:
[build prof=rt/e chan=12+1+1 rest=12+1 spawn=3][xinrae's weapon][essence strike][splinter weapon][ancestors' rage][mend body and soul][spirit light][life][glyph of lesser energy][/build]
Energy can be a little tough, so its a WIP.
Sins I havent really found an effective use for in PvE. They do ok as a barrager but to be honest I'd rather take a ranger and there is far better AoE damage to be had elsewhere.
Dervishes don't see a lot of use due to their melee range, but when I do use them its on this:
[build prof=D/rt myst=11+1 scythe=12+1+1 wind=6+1][Wounding Strike][lyssa's assault][Chilling Victory][test of faith][attacker's insight][whirling charge][faithful intervention][death pact signet][/build]
Test of faith is something which i'm trying out with my new character (i only really use Derv heroes at low levels when melonni is one of the few heroes you have). I like the idea of a fairly cheap AoE enchant removal (I use lyssa's and attacker's insight to make sure the energy is always there for it.)

Paragons don't have to be used with players using SY!.
Me: [Mark of Pain][Barbs][Assassin's Promise]
Morgahn: [Stunning Strike]

Warrior (DSlash)
Dervish (Reaper's Sweep or WS)

Try this P/Rt, I made this one up a few months ago and it works well if you are a physical, especially if there are many other physicals on the team; you will notice things are almost permanently burning around you. He benefits from his own Lyric of Zeal and Aria of Zeal also. Quoting my post from back then:
I've always liked the paragon Leadership and Motivation skills, but was never that blown away by the Spear skills, which often have better alternatives in other professions. Spear Mastery just eats up more valuable attribute points leaving you with little else for a secondary. Spear paragons also have to spend a lot of time attacking to build up adrenaline, instead of using chants.
[build prof=p/rt moti=12 lead=12 chan=10][Song of Restoration][Ballad of Restoration][Anthem of Flame][Aria of Zeal][Lyric of Zeal][Blazing Finale][Splinter Weapon][Signet of Aggression][/build]
This guy wields a Channeling Rod + a Motivation shield, and is set on passive. You know how when you put [Splinter Weapon] on one of your necros or other heroes, and it never casts it as often as you want? Well, you don't have to worry about that with this guy, he *spams* that skill almost on recharge, much more than any other character I've ever put it on, which makes me very happy.
You can substitute [Song of Purification] if you want.
