Is this real?
Dante the Warlord
Just out of curiousity - i found this on a wiki page in the mini section. I don't know if its real or not but

Thats insane! Does this mean that my pet might randomly lose me a drop?! Or is it fake with someone actually name miniature gwen? If this topic has been discussed please send links =)!

that would be a player called "Miniature Gwen".
Only heroes and hench 'steal' drops, and even then they aren't actually dropped and assigned to them like that pic.

The discussion page says otherwise.
I still don't know if I can believe the picture. It seems rather odd to me that it would work like that.
However there is discussion about that very image. Including a much larger full party screenshot (No "Miniature Gwen" player in the group, however no mini gwen either.)

Rhiana Reborn
It might have been a glitch, like miniatures showing up as party leaders, or being affected in some party/allies-wide effects.
Katyia
It happened to me once when I had Ra Hathor opening the Z chest for me. When he left, some of the items were assigned to the mini he had brought even though I could grab them.
Kattar
It's pretty simple. Someone shopped it. Or it's faked somehow.
Snograt
I dunno Kat - that's a very convincing argument on that page. I remember when Factions (I think it was) first came out, for a period of time you could see drops assigned to henchmen briefly, before they disappeared. It's not beyond the bounds of possibility that this is an actual, if extremely rare, bug.
Heck, it's about time this forum saw a real bug
(Edit)Owait - this isn't the bugs forum

Yeah, I know Snog. And it's possible it's that.
It's also equally possible that someone was bored and wanted to stir up some shiz on the interbutts. You just have to be careful in these situations and not start running around screaming about the sky falling.
More proof pl0x.

This also happens in DoA if there are duplicates of monsters and someone leaves without picking up their item. It will be assigned to the cloned monster.

Isn't the "real" name of mini pets that you see in game when they are glitched as party members in town like "Miniature Gwen Doll" and not "miniature gwen".
So therefore shopped (or a character named that)

Sometimes drops will get assigned to minions too. Happens very rarely, I've only seen it happen like one time.
This could be somewhat the same.

Take that as you will, but it is a legitimate support of the image.
Kattar
You mean this link here? Because I only see one screenshot. I can see the screenshot. You think someone couldn't have photoshopped that as well?
immortius
I know someone has a character with the name Miniature Gwen - I saw a screenshot of them as a Chibi Gwen next to an actual miniature gwen in one of the April 1st threads.

Those Miniatures... they're robbing you blind!

lol, i bet 9/11 was a government inside job and we have never actually landed on the moon either?
conspiracy theorists FTL.
i believe it to be 100% genuine, i took this screenshot the other day while standing in gate of anguish, 2nd time ive seen it happen. if they can get party numbers and names in districts its highly probable they can get drops assigned to them on very rare occasions

Yea, well ive had the mini name pop up once before with my kuunavang and it showed up as a mini kuunvang doll. Its just an interesting glitch and I think a good point would be (just on the safe side) to NOT bring minis when you are going to high end areas. Even if its 1/10000000 for this to happen, you never know. But i guess they need to pick it up first, so if you wait 5 mins. you can get it back.
Also, i didn't know that the spirits could also have a similiar thing happen to them - making this a tad bit more believable.

If you read the talk page that was linked, I think it explains it, although not directly. One of the people on that CoF run had a mini Gwen, and was able to pick up the item, even though it was assigned to someone else (Miniature Gwen). Apparently it is a minor bug, not in that something drops for a mini, but that the listing says it is for a mini. If the character who owned the mini could pick it up while it still said "assigned to Miniature Gwen" then it was obviously assigned to that player. It just listed the name incorrectly. Would be more amusing to see this happen with several people with the same mini in use. If that happened, proof would be in the fact that only one of the people could pick it up, even though they all had the same mini. The drop was for a person, but listed wrong. And if spirits or monsters can also be shown has having a drop, it would be the same thing.
