Your user name is the e-mail address you used when registering your account.
If you can figure out what that was there is a reset password function in the log-in menu that should allow you to restore your account.

I've recently recovered my account due to me losing my email and password to the account, I contacted PlayNC support and they helped me get the account back, They will require Pictures of your Access Key's for all of the expansion packs

The CD keys, whatever they are on. Wether it be a CD case, or a small credit card size piece of plastic, they will need a picture of that.

For future reference, the client is available for download off of the Guild Wars website, so losing the CDs/DVD shouldn't stop you playing. :P

You know, while I'm playing the game I run into people that will say things like this all the time or that they lost all their stuff because GW got deleted from their computer. I don't know how many people know this but you don't need to have GW installed from disk in order to play it, all you need is the DL client from the site. I'm not sure how it works but I'm guessing your character and items and everything else is stored digitally somewhere.

Just to draw a line under this...

Guild Wars accounts are forever (unless you get yourself banned). The disks you get are simply an aid to installation - they are not at all necessary and are not what you paid for. Your money buys you a Guild Wars account - any time you wish to play, you may do so. You can install the Guild Wars client on as many computers as you like and log on with your account details: User name (usually email) and password.

If you ever forget your login details, as others have said, it's simply a matter of contacting Support and providing enough proof that the account is yours.

my friend has almost the same problem.

he stopped playing gw for a while and his email address got hacked. when he wanted to play again he discovered that he no longer remembers his password. due to the fact that his email is hacked he cant reset the password.

you guys say that he has to contact planync with pictures of his cdkey but he never created a plaync account in the first place. he bought the game and created a guildwars account using his email address and a password just like I did. so what is his plaync account then ?!

even i dont know if i have a plaync account.

If he bought the game online and therefore has no physical CD key (usually comes on a plastic card or a plain paper insert) - then it's going to be somewhat harder to prove ownership.

Contact support, tell them the same thing that you've said here and they will try to help you as much as they can.
