So who do you boot?

You have 8 slots for players in a mission or quest with lots of players looking for groups and a task which is best done by people anyway. All are filled, but you need another monk. Which profession or standards do you use to boot someone and why?

Have you ever kicked someone based on class? I remember all those times you all kicked my assassin. Never forget. Never forgive.

You kick Melonni/Koss/Livia or whatever, or did you somehow manage to get a full group of 8 for something?
Build your party to have space open for however many monks/healers you need, then you shouldnt need to kick anyone.

Ask everyone to ping their bars. Fix ones that are subpar to work better with the team. First person that shows real resistance or inability to change their bar from something of low effectiveness to average level needs ejected, going up the line from there. If nobody is running anything poorly, eject the build that has the worst synergy with the rest of the group.

Or, you could just use common sense.

The first person who repeatedly tells me to go without ever talking / pinging.

Actually that generally earns a kick even if I don't need a slot.
Sins. Blood necros. Etc. Usually apologize nicely unless they told me to go without otherwise talking.

Most interesting way to boot someone I saw once was quizing the party members. Like how many rooms does Urgoz Warren have or what attacsk Thorn Wolves have.

Hey Mallyx [icU]

Mo/Me

Sometimes I ask them where they're from and kick the Frenchies. Other times I check builds, make suggestions and kick the first one to /rank or /zrank me. There are days when I kick people in ugly armors and combos.

On the very, very rare occasions I find myself forming a PuG:
The monks who believe [Healer's Boon] is more awesome than most prot skills.
Necromancers with blood skills that will only lead to their death (though I'm a bit forgiving with them).
I ask people to change their builds first, sometimes they listen (though monks can be really stubborn).
Anybody who looks at me funny, they just kicked.

If there's any constant in PvE pugging it's monks that are arseholes who feel entitled simply because they think they're "needed". I just boot them and ask the eles and necros to heal.

If I find out that neither the eles or necros are capable of healing, I usually ask myself what I'm doing in that group in the first place.

Done.

[JUNK]

I haven't kicked people in AGES.
One of the last times I booted someone, I kicked myself. We were doing one of those all-class-things (all mesmer or ritu - not sure) and I invited too many people, so instead of breaking a guy's heart and telling him that he was a mistake - I simply said I'll sit this one out.

I always make sure I only invite the people I need or want. Which means I don't blindly accept invites if we NEED a specific dude.

BUT in the spirit of the game - I'd always smack bitches. Manly men are much more fun to run - so people who are just there to make sure the manly men do their job should be kept to a minimum.

Which profession or standards do you use to boot someone and why? Personally speaking I'd boot the leader for not making a proper team in the first place. A good leader would never get into a situation like this. I mean you should know what you need beforehand not "after" you've already assembled a group only to realize, "OMG I forgot someone I need to boot to make room".

Seeing as though you can't really boot the leader, I'd do myself a huge favor and leave. Make my own group or find a smarter leader. Using common sense will help you avoid all this to begin with. All fingers point to the leader for being a dumbass.

Anybody with pet skills at all, unless I'm feeling nice and it's an easy mission, or you're an axe/hammer thumper in which case you win.
