Caster shield?

caster weapons are usually weapons that they don't meet the requirements too, but still use them for the benefits of the mods (most commonly spears/shields).
armour +10 (vs. xxxx damage); health +30
an exception would be stance monks that spec in tactics, but this requires obtaining a low req. shield.
q.7 or q.8 tactics (or even lower) if its for a stance monk
in case of shields, basically they keep it as a separate weapon set (usually combined with a caster spear/sword/etc) for if/when they take dmg, to increase chances of survival.

never heard of this and I really doubt it, as I've tested a lot of shields in the past, but may test for this aswell.
A caster uses a shield for:
1. The +8 armor (if you don't meet the requirement for a +16 shield, you get half the protection)
2. The +30hp from the shield handle
3. The protection from the chosen inscription placed on the shield, which can be any of these that state can be used on a shield http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Inscr...d_inscriptions
