mystic rains
i have looked over these forums and can't find the answer to my ?. my question is when you are covering an enchantment do you cast enchantment you want to keep from being stripped 1st or last? take shadow form for example. trying to keep it from being stripped, do i cast sf then cover or cover then sf. thanks for some input into this. if i posted in wrong section please move for me..thank you

"Covering" an enchantment means applying one (or more) enchantments over the crucial one.
Example:
You're an elementalist, specced in Air. Your attunement is crucial, so you decide to cover it with Aura of Restoration. This means casting [[Air Attunement] first, and then casting [[Aura of Restoration] right after that.
As for Shadow Form, it doesn't really need to be covered, unless you're in an area with monsters with [[signet of disenchantment], [[soulrending shriek] or similar effect-ignoring skills.
In short, enchantment you want to keep first, other enchantments after that.

Cover enchant comes last, and you typically want something with a fast cast time, low energy cost, and fast recharge time. This way you have it available to recast as needed, don't waste all your energy, and have less chance of getting it interrupted. Having an effect on end is a bonus, but not needed. So a skill like [watchful healing] would heal you when removed as the bonus.
Eragon Zarroc
enchantment removal takes off the last applied enchantment, so the cover enchantment goes last.

The "cover" should cover the enchantment. So if you wanted to cover sf, you would cast the cover enchantment AFTER sf.
