For the last few days I've been keeping track of my runs and I'm interested to know what's the usual ecto drop per run ratio.

For example, I've been doing smite runs with my W/E and I'm getting on average 1 ecto per 2 runs. Is it normal? I'd like to know where do you guys farm (planes, smites, wtv) and what you'd say what you usually get. One ecto every run, two ecto's? Think I made myself clear, I'm trying to see the pattern here. Thanks.

I do uwsc a lot and usually get 2-3 ecto plus the one from the chest if I do pits, chamber or wastes. Anywhere else and I get nothing. :]

I don't solo so I don't know how helpful my ecto drops is lol.

I solo Uw with my war, and a month or so ago i was getting like 2-5 a run.

Now i get 1 a run or so. I just started soloing FoW last night so i'll see how that goes for awhile. But i do over farm alot so it might be different for people I don't know.

I solo the Chaos Plains with my assassin and typically get 5-8 ectos per run before the good ol' farm code starts kicking in.

I also 600/smite Wastes with a guildie, and we typically get 0-2 ectos per run.

The old sliver perma still works. I use a pair of zealous daggers to maintain my energy in between SF and Sliver cycles. Just like the times before the nerf, the farm can go extremely fast if you know all the pulls. This is what I use (feigned included because one group of Blacknesses is extremely tough to completely avoid, you'll probably get shocked once or twice before losing them).

. Plains run is slower than it was but still not too bad. Sliver form build in HM takes just over an hour generally (used to be able to do it in a lot less - and normal mode is excruciatingly slow). I can usually count on 4-7 ectos, though I have had as little as one and as many as 12.

I sometimes do the E/Me terra Sandstorm smite farm and my results are something like this:

0 ectos = uncommon
1 ecto = common
2 ectos = uncommon
3 ectos = rare

I miss the 10-a-run chaos planes farm. Q_Q

I've run VwK W/Rt, W/D Scythe, Axe, [[Hundred Blades], and W/Me dual visage, and my ecto drops for a smite/grasp run were 0-3.

I also do Smites with my Me once in a while. The drop rates are pretty much 0-2. A lot of times it can be frustrating, because around 50% of my runs end up with no ectos. There are times though when I get lucky and get up to 4 of them. Now that's a good day.

lately, 1 ecto per smite run as a w/d around 80% of the time. I've had a big streak of 0 ecto runs, so I'm restraining myself of doing them

1 ecto (if any) per 10-12 mins makes me seriously wonder whether its worth it - and it defo aint :/. The way things look, ecto will drop further down, so I dont think I'll be uw'ing soon again

. 3 ecto runs are fun, but meh :/

Ice Wastes or Chaos Plains, Kotte? I've never gotten 9 ectos from a single Wastes (Smites) run, but I've seen plenty of pink gooey Globs drop in the Chaos Planes (Ecto Wonderland) from Mindblade Spectres and Banished Dream Riders.

. 3 ecto runs are fun, but meh :/ Same here, 0/1 ecto's per run are the rule for me as well, runs are relatively quick and they pay themselvs for the most, but spending 40 minutes to get ONE ecto isn't really worth it. That's why I don't get some people. Mr.Kotte, Tyrael_Eveningsong, what on earth are you running or what are you doing to get so many from smites alone? I tried doing some planes with a perma sin, wasted around 40k on it's gear and entry's because I screwed up a lot until I got the hang of it. But when I finally reached the chaos planes, stayed there for about 40 minutos and never had a single drop. I honestly don't get it.

i've only done smite runs with a warrior a long long long time ago, and it was pretty much worthless getting 0-2 ectos a run.

whenever i RoJ uwsc's i get 0-1 ectos (not including chest), but w/ RoJ i swear i get better chest drops

when i solo uw w/ my sin, i get anywhere from 4-9, most i've gotten in one "run" was 11

when i uwsc w/ my sin, i get anywhere from 0-5 ectos depending on what area i do, if i do chamber or vale, i'm lucky to get 1, if i do pools/plains/wastes i get 0-5

when i 600 it, i clear almost everything, if we're not going for chest i skip mountains and vale, and i get anywhere from 0-9 ectos, but it takes a very very long time.

it's all about luck and how much you've been grinding the place i suppose.

This is why I farm the first level in tombs in HM for ecto dropping stuff. The run usually takes 2 minutes, give or take, which means you can do a lot more runs which means I usually get ~3ish ecto in the time of a wastes run(0-2 a run, I used w/rt, which is pretty slow). Of course, that just depends on my luck. But atleast I don't waste the entry fee on a run with no ecto( although in UW you usually make that back, but not always).

run takes about 40 min, and that i die becouse of noobness.
did 2 runs about 30 min ago, got 8 ecto's on the first one and 5 on the other.
doe that run 6 times now, never got lower that 4.

would be lame if i get 1 ecto, getting in UW costs 1K, and con costs 3.5K.
50 win for full clear means 2 cons, so 8K costs.
want to try and get clear in 30 min, so costs would be 4.5K

So, i have done it again 2 times today.

Result= 2runs, 0 Ectos
Waste of Money and Time: 1 hour, 4k

I get about 2k from selling crap @merchant, and pay 3k for con and 1 for entry...

Thats not what i call profitable...

bronkz, what are you running? If you are running a Monk 600/Smite team with a Hero, you do realize that your Hero is "assigned" drops, right? Could be that you are getting Ecto from kills, but they are rolled as your Hero's drop, meaning you'll never even know that it dropped.

Planes solo can easily net 6 ecto/run. I've seen runs net as many as 9, heard reports of up to 11.

Again, it's all random as to what you get as drops, don't get frustrated, just keep trying.

My best run ever was last night with 5 ecto dropping from 1 hour of steady easy normal mode questing (slowlo) farming and 4 of those dropped from the same group, what about that

with my 600 or my Warr i get 1,2 a run with the touch ranger build off pvx i get 3,5,i rlly miss the old chaos planes farm the most i got from that was 11 (i Know some 1 who got 12 in 1 run)i farmed a stack in 3 days
