I have been waiting for this weekends special event of easter?!? I presume this is still happening.. anyone able to confirm this?

Yes. There will be choco bunnies and golden eggs this weekend. Regina said it somewhere in the "about the april 9th update" thread, I believe.

Well its Friday at 3:30pm..weekend events usually start here on friday at 3pm. Still no sign of Easter Weekend.. My guess is they are trying to fix the major lag issues before they release the update..so they can go home for Easter Weekend themselves.
