Hero/Marketplace/Survivor

Hi, im making new paragon now, and ofcourse it has to be Legendary Survivor ;]
I`m going to my favourite place- 3 jade knights in marketplace entrance.
The problem is, that it was easy to kill them in hard mode on assassin, but i cant figure out how to solo it with paragon.

So, i was thinking, is that possible, to get 1 Hero, flag it on Jades spawn and kill it using hero skills myself, while i am standing safe far away?

i did farm there with my assassin, so maybe its possible to find an assassin hero and use only this hero to farm jade knights?
I know this will be 50% exp less, but its perfectly safe. If Hero dies, i dont loose survivor ;]

it's actually not perfectly safe. you have to be in aggro range in order to get experience. at the very least, you have to be in longbow range and shooting at them. this could draw aggro away from your hero and bring it to you.

here's an idea for you... get experience points by playing the game. it's awfully hard to die on a paragon unless you're doing something terribly wrong. a midline character with 80 armor should have almost no problem living as you play through the game.

Get EotN if you dont already have it
Dwarven Boxing with scrolls, nuff said.

with Eotn the fastest way of getting r3 survivor is:

1.)Be r1 Survivor so it enables hardmode.
2.)Hire a Sin to Bomb Farm

So, if there is no possibility to exp with 1 hero (i tried it, hero allways die), is there any other farmplace in Cantha/Elona?

Paragon already has high armor, so monsters will target you less than others on your team. You also have nice options for defensive shouts/chants and healing shouts/chants to make yourself even more durable. With a proper hero+hench team build, you can easily complete quests/missions to gain XP. I completed NF up to the Consulate Docks on my Paragon, then moved over to Factions. With 3000XP quest rewards, and missions that give a ton of XP for Masters, you can easily get a huge chunk of the XP you need. Toss in some elite skill capping and you get even more XP.

Or if you want to do it the boring way, go do some Dwarven Boxing in GW:EN. Farming monsters is a slow way to get XP unless you are solo farming in HM, and even then you usually get more XP from quests/missions. And since Paragon has no solo farming builds I am aware of, and solo farming leaves you open to lag/DC death, I'd suggest against farming the XP.

Did i mentioned i am playing paragon? ;p In assassin it was not a problem to solo farm Jades in HM. On paragon it seems to be impossible.

Thx for answer, but it is not an answer for my question.
I know that killing monster gives me exp, and so are missions ;p
I could just follow the storyline. I tried this today. 6 hours of making quest and i got only 60k exp, so now i have 200k ;p

On assassin solo HM jade farm i could get like 500k exp in that 6 hours ;/

I also know that i can buy a EoTN, but im not going to, at least not now.


So, could someone post me a place in Cantha/Elona for paragon to farm and exp?
I asked my guildmates about it, but they only said that paragon can farm nothing but death swords, and when i finish storyline i will have nothing to do, game will become boring, and its best if i just make assassin again ;p

Is there any place where i can exp fast? I dont care about drops, i just wanna legendary survivor.

It is possible to do that with pretty much any character.

Sorry but you're mistaken there. To enable hard mode at least 1 character has to have completed that particular campaign which enables all your other lvl 20 chars to access HM on that campaign.

I have a new necro who is R1 survivor but no HM yet.

Which is why you need R1 survivor (lvl 20) first.

It requiers essentials skills from prophecies. If i had prophecies, i wouldnt ask so obvious questions ;]
I tried to find some skills that works like those from proph, so i can replace it, but i did not found any..


You do not need survivor 1 to enable Hard Mode. You just need to finish the campaign with your other character(which dont need to be survivor).

just got rank3(Paragon) with..NO Boxing as get too much lagg

Just do the missions as others have said completed factions .prof did not die with H/H with protector en route

Then just did some areas solo in hard mode to get to r3..

There are many ways to get there read up on previous posts where u can get survivor as its all covered there..even for guys who just have one campaign

3 monk heroes, or Dunk+Tahlk+/Mo hero. [Life bond] + [Protective Bond] + [essence bond] + [mending] + [recuperation] + [shelter] and just keep them far enough that you're in bond/spirit range but they don't get exp. Should be easy.

I don't know if you're ascended or not, but you should have enough damage as a paragon to make them die. If you have access to an interrupt to kill their healsig it's great. Oh wait. They don't have healsig. Add bleeding or burning, since they DO have Watch Yourself, which is a pain to fight through.

Edit: There are other options if you don't have proph (HOW can you not have proph? O.O). Such as using 2 or 3 [shelter] instead of [protective bond] and just putting [blessed signet] instead of essence bond.

Edit2: on the r1 survivor thing:

You need to unlock HM on that campaign by finishing it on ONE character.
--All you other level 20 characters can now access HM in that campaign.
--To achieve level 20 on a survivor char you also get r1 survivor.

Thus: To be able to enter Hard mode on a Survivor Char, you must have r1 Survivor. Simple. Why am I bothering to write this?

I tried to make my characters maintain those enchantments you told me, and with them i can survive and kill Jade Knights with my spear.
But in hard mode, even with those skills, i have half hp in like 4 seconds and i have to run to not die.

Other thing is that i have no idea how to make dmg. Spear sux, it works only in normal mode when i have plenty of time to kill before my HP is low.

I tried RoJ but jades are running away when i cast it.

Well, there is still a chance that i will not die when doing quests, but its extremely low. Now i have 250k exp from quests and its long way ;/

So, have you any better ideas how to survive and kill those jade knights with paragon primary and only Nightfall and Factions Campaigns?

Although you don't want to listen to me, I'm telling you to stop farming your XP and do the quests+missions. Most of the quests are pretty easy, and they give 3000XP each, a couple give 10,000XP. You also get to kill monsters for XP while doing the quests for even more XP. Paragon just doesn't have farming options like other classes do because of energy and skill selections. Without GW:EN and the boxing, you really do much better and get your title much faster by playing the game.

Consult wiki for a list of the quests in each area, and that will tell you several things. 1) how much XP you will get, 2) what dangers you can expect and prepare for, 3) what options you have to make the quest easier, and 4) tips on ways to simplify the quest.

But if you want to farm the XP, I'd suggest asking for places/monsters/builds to farm in the Paragon forum of the Campfire.
