600 sec delay between sending private messages??

Hey,
I just had to pm 3 guys. I cant sent a message to more than one person - Quote:

You may send your message to up to 1 people at a time.

so I thought I'll just send 3 seperate ones. Send the first, then I got this :

This forum requires that you wait 600 seconds between sending private messages. Please try again in 593 seconds. which means I have to wait 20 mins to send the other 2 messages. Why is the delay so huge? You could halve it and it will still serve its purpose?

Just thought I'd post this, reducing this time might improve the GWG experience

This feature was recently implemented. It was implemented because of the problem we had with spam bots, who would PM spam to forum users. It pretty much kills the spam bot. We know it's an inconvenience, but it's only temporary, so please bear with us.
