Need help with a list: Which weapons don't come inscribable ?

Hi everyone. I'm currently working on a wiki-page covering some facts that are not written down anywhere.

One of my points is making a list of all weapons that don't come inscribable.

Items that only exist inscribable for certain attributes

A second list is supposed to cover all items that basically exist inscribable, but not with all attributes, like Zodiac Staves, Platinum Staves etc.
If you have anything to add here, let me know. Of course this list only has Caster-items (and maybe shields).

So far my list goes like this:

* Zodiac Staff and Scepter: Divine Favor, Energy Storage, Soul Reaping, Spawning Power, Inspiration Magic
* Platinum Staff and Wand: Divine Favor, Energy Storage, Soul Reaping, Spawning Power, Inspiration Magic (only Staff), Domination Magic (only Wand)
* Wayward Wand: Divine Favor, Energy Storage, Soul Reaping, Spawning Power, Inspiration Magic


@Forum-mod: I wasnt exactly sure where to put this. Please move my thread if this is the wrong place.

I will be updating my wiki-page soon with some more points, like some facts about shields, slaying mods and whatever I can think of^^

You can add Oni Blades to your list, as well as the Canthan Crude Axe and the Jade Axe.
I'm not 100% sure about Kaineng Axes but I guess they don't come inscribable too.

Zaishen Chest makes all skins inscribable.

I knew this post would come. No, Z-Chest does NOT drop all weapons. That's why I am making this list.

I have found its mainly factions only skins that don't come inscrip. Can't really add anything to your list atm.

But how do we know for sure these do not drop from the Zaishen chest?

Has anyone from ANet said so?

In any case, do you want to add skins available to PvE through collectors only such as the lotus staff?

The Zaishen Chest has been there for more than 16 months and is being opened thousands of times each day.

No, ANET didn't say anything about those items, but after such a long time one of these items would have found its way to a forum or caught attention ingame, so it is safe to say those don't exist.

I only need items available from PvE and not from collectors like the Plasma Blade or Lorus Staff, like you said.

I think you're right about the plagueborn stuff. Pretty sure if you look through the zaishen drops thread you will not see any of it. If you were so inclined you could probably just look through that thread and cross off the gold items that are posted and figure out what doesn't drop that way.

The inscribable versions of wayward wands for Mesmer come in inspiration. I can show you one in game if you'd like.

this is obvious but maybe you should add IDS

Ok, I know Falchions and Short Swords come inscribable. Here's screenshots of the examples I have on my characters. I don't recall where I found these, but given the reqs I strongly suspect I found them as my own drops rather than buying them from other players (who'd have kept them to sell in the first place?) If they were my own drops then they didn't come from PvP, and it's unlikely they came from a reward-type chest. I have all 3 campaigns and EotN, so I can't narrow the source down further.





In the list of axes, you might need to add "Halo Axe." I haven't heard of those ever being inscribable.

Inscribable Spathas drop in NF, I have a purple and a couple of gold ones.

Yay, it worked, only took me 45 mins to figure out how to do it. lol

Not quite sure but, Paper Lantern? Wiki atleast says its random canthan drop and ive never seen inscriable one
