Just wanting to make sure, are there really not going to be any new tonics after the update that is going to be happening in the middle of April or something? Just something I read on the internet and wasn't really sure if it was real or not.

No all the new tonics are done, they will repeat the tonics from last year...the last one was added in the first april update
Edit: also no hint toward gw2 at all, they will not announce the release date till next year at least and beta will follow that...so at least 2 years away (my assumption)

unless they come out with some special tonic for a particular event in the future (example:ice golem tonic), no new tonics will be implemented every month. the cycle of 12 will now repeat from now on.

Did they ever actually say they where repeating? I dont recall seeing anything in particular about it.

ANet never stated what their plans were for monthly tonics after these 12 were released. As far as I'm concerned, anything's possible until it's announced on the official Guild Wars website. Up till then, it's all speculation.

As far as I know they NEVER said they would not release new tonics, they said the ZAISHEN CHEST REWARDS will no longer include any more new tonics. This means that there definitely has the possibility that there will be tonics dropping, just not from the calender. So holidays/events there could be new tonics coming our way =)
