I left guild wars 2 years ago, and I decided to come back just recently when my friend were looking for another mmorpg to waste time on
I dont have any money since I gave my account away and I m pretty much starting new.
we like to do the faction champagne since it was my favorite back when I played.
He is rolling a necromancer(most likely M/M) and I m wanting to roll a Ritualist (their spells are so fun to mess with.)
We plan on doing PVE only (finishing champagnes in all expansions). My question is, are we a good enough combo to finish all champange or should I play a different class? We plan on doing all missions by ourselves
Thank you =)
Coming back to GW with a friend, need some input with class decisions

Necromancer and Ritualist will be a fairly decent pair of professions to play through with. Take a physical henchman or hero wherever possible, and make sure you cast [[Splinter Weapon (PvE)] on it, and have your Necro friend use Physical-interaction skills, such as [[Mark of Pain].
Also - I think you mean "Campaign", not "Champagne".... The latter is a fizzy, alcoholic beverage!

one more question I noticed there's a lot of different armors at level 20, are the more expensive one purely for look/show off or something more @@?
Archress Shayleigh
Armors are purely for looks. And i think MM and Rit should be more then capable to duo most of the campaigns.

I would suggest getting all your early armour from collectors since its free and money is short.
Save up for when you get to the armourer selling max protection level armour before spending gold.
60 is max base armour protection for Necro and Ritualist.
Have fun

thank you guys for the input. I have 1 more question, are the monk henchmens smart enough to handle the group or do I have to group up with a actual monk near the end-missions
gremlin
In Factions I needed humans for a few missions and my guild helped me through those.
They were the main Luxon and Kurzic missions that open up the map to last few towns and the final encounter with Shiro.
The rest were doable with a friend or just heroes.
Ditto Prophesies and Nightfall some later missions are just a lot easier with friends though with the right builds they can all be done with just heroes and henchies.
Given a decent group of Heroes there is little that isnt possible in PVE

Monk AIs are terrible... they can get you through if you need henchmen, but if you're playing with a buddy, you should be able to bring decent healer heroes like the below.
[build prof=N/Rt sou=12+1+1 res=12][Xinrae's Weapon][Mend Body and Soul][Spirit Light][Weapon of Warding (PvE)][Life][Protective Was Kaolai][Signet of Lost Souls][Flesh of my FLesh][/build]
[build prof=E/Mo ene=12+1+3 pro=12 hea=3][Ether Renewal (PvE)][Aura of Restoration][Aegis][Protective Spirit][Spirit Bond][Infuse Health][Shield of Absorption][Reversal of Fortune][/build]
[build prof=Me/Rt res=12 ins=10+1+1 fas=8+1][Energy drain (PvE)][Waste not want not][Life][Spirit Light][Mend Body and Soul][Weapon of Warding][Protective Was Kaolai][Flesh of my Flesh][/build]
Plenty of variants you can do on those. The point is healer heros have no idea how to e-manage, so be sure to give them tons of energy. You can do this on monks too with inspiration stuff, but unless you want a condition/hex removal heavy build, I don't see the advantage.

Necromancer and ritualist?
They are more of the same.
I think there will be a good synergy, but ritualist are rumoured to be lacking.
A necro can MM,heal and do damage better then a ritualist.
Also try being a parago[r]n,it is fun.At least at the start.
