Specifically the use of Scroll of Hunter's Insight.
When you kill the bosses - Maghma and Fronis - Hunter's Insight does not always renew. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't.

Might be interesting for the people that use scrolls to pay more attention if this happens outside of the dungeon also.

Pretty sure this occurs when Kilroy gets the final hit on them. He isn't part of your party per se, therefore his kills don't count for renewing scrolls.

I believe maghma isnt actually a boss - there was something on about this somewhere else and scrolls.
In Gw you have bosses and "boss like foes" - the latter has no actual benefit to scrolls.
Yes its a bit daft but thats how its set up sadly.
Fronis i doubt will make any diff to scrolls as its just him and his ettin friend - so no idea why you`d want a scroll to renew when everyone else is usually dead an no foes left.

Maghma is a boss in the sense that he does (usually) refresh hunters insight scrolls. IIRC boss-like foes don't exhibit this behaviour.

You'll find that the same thing happens with rampager's insight scrolls in this dungeon. Occasionally you won't get the refresh when an enemy is slain, and as far as I can tell it's because kilroy had the final blow on them.

Those insight scrolls work perfectly, you just have to make sure you have the final hit on maghma in order to renew the scroll, after doing it so many times it becomes quite apparent that when kilroy chooses to knock out maghma first you don't get your scroll renewed :/

Ohh - that could actually be it!
Thanks!

(Can the mods move it to the Q&A forum then? Thanks!)
