Useless "Night Falls" book?

I completed nightfall and then I went and did a bit of grinding on my lightbringer points with the end result that I have sunspear rank 9 and lightbringer rank 5. I finally went back completed the last two nightfall missions so I could turn in the book, but now, nobody cares? I talked to the guy in Chantry of Secrets and the guy in the Sunspear Great Hall and they only want hard mode books?

I mean, really, what's the point? I wasted that space in my inventory for over a month and nobody cares? I just wanted Intensity to suck less and now I'm unable to claim the reward for Nightfall... that bites.

Just to be sure there's a clear question here, is the Night Falls book I finally managed to fill completely worthless?

Once you have achieved rank 8 for the Sunspear title track or rank 5 for the Lightbringer title track, you may no longer turn in normal mode books to that faction and you may not request normal mode books from them either.

So, yes, your book is now worthless. You should have turned in book asap and grinded points later.

Thanks. Somehow I missed that when I read the wiki. It's a little frustrating but I appreciate the confirmation that I can just delete the stupid book now.

Okay, not to sound dense, but I want to make sure I'm interpreting this correctly.

Are the excluding variables are mutually exclusive? So, even if I'm a Sunspear rank 8, but only a Lightbringter rank 2 I can still turn it in for the lightbringer points since I'm not a rank 5, correct?

Wow that's lame. I guess I can't turn in mine either. Who's stupid idea was this? "Oh yeah, you need to turn it in BEFORE you finish." Just give us gold and XP anyways.

edit: rank 5... I still have a chance! sorry to the OP though.

This is the way books worked since they introduced them... you can't turn in NM books to a faction after R8 in EotN either.

No I mean you still get gold and experience points in addition to title points. If you're already max title, then you could just get the gold and XP you deserve, no points.
