Well, i really enjoy all the great pictures here, and i can see alot of talent!

I was thinking of arranging a Commission contest with possibly 300k~ in prizes. It would been of ONE character, so nothing huge such as Sjeng's art contest.

But im bit unsure on the activity on this forum, and i wont really boother to hold a contest if i theres noone entering.

Ps, this contest has still not started since my money source is prediction(5accounts hehe), and every time i get about 120+rp's. But you never know so i will asure i have the money before the contest starts

So im kinda wondering anyone actually wanting to sign upp? (Its just 1 character and i accept all types of paintings/drawings/3D/Animation etc etc)

... Sum it upp, anyone interested in a commission contest with 300k + in prizes

? (PS, my payment will be zkeys so due to the variation of its prices i rather add an ammount of zkeys ex: 1st Place 50zkeys~ )

I'll enter your contest if you enter mine

Part 1 is the short story portion of the contest, so more people besides just the local artists can join in. Should be up early May, and as I'm thinking of getting back into commissions this summer anyway, I'd love to give your character a try.

Well, as i mentioned this contest is financed on Predictions Points, which get i get every month. So hopefully i will get them the 1st Thursday like always, so i suppose i'll see how good it goes with the predictions, and ill make a contest & prizes out of that

Btw, was thinking of the same that this can start upp around 8th~ May (The day after prediction points is give out

)

But as i mentioned the contest still havent started, and its still not 100% it will be either, but im trying to get it throu

Once the contest kicks off, I'll post the prize info, judging criteria, and biography/screenshot material. It's a sort of commission contest, but split into parts.

I have no clue how many people might submit entries in the short story portion, but if I'm not busy reading, I'd love to draw your character. Have you got a deadline in mind for your contest?

I can try drawing a picture of your friend's monk. I will try my hardest to fit the style of those sample pictures, although the finished product may be terrible

Anyway, it would be good practice since I am thinking about re-starting a free commissions thread of my own... Who knows, maybe while I work on this picture I will find a style that I like

Anyway, I have no doubt that there are artists on this site that could make a better picture... But I will give it a go anyway and hope for the best.

I will contact you with the finished product when I am done...(although it may be a while, as I am a little busy)

MI, I can't be much help for your friend's monk, I am busy with projects and finals this week and next, hence I'm waiting to post my event.

I'm usually all for drawing as birthday presents and I recommend it to anyone who isn't sure what kind of GW-related present to give. The most personal and least likely to be pulled out of storage years later with a "wonder why I've been holding onto this"

I hope you find somebody who can deliver in time and happy birthday to your friend!

Ah, I'll throw my Ice Crown in the ring, just for kicks and solong's its not got a deadline during AP testing (around 2nd week of May). I know I can't win, seein's Morag and Starr are in (last contest I nearly dropped out in favor of Morag, lol), but I need the tablet practice (wish I'd had that for the Evening with a Mesmer contest - my picture wouldn't have sucked so much, since my main issue with it was that it was a horrible colored pencil job) and, well, it'd be a nice break from drawing my own characters over and over again (and drawing characters is what I'm best at, I'd say).

...Wow, that was pretty verbose for basically saying "sure, I'll enter."

Btw im having loooads of exams myself starting next week, so ill give you guys a decent deadline

Well, I have plenty of room for spam now. I archived all my messages to make room for this summer. I'm glad I could pull through on this one and that it was well received. Tip if you like, but as we made no sort of formal arrangement for payment, that's entirely up to you. I'm adding this to my monks collection and getting some extra credit for my digital arts class, so it was a benefit to me to do this piece.

Have you decided yet which of your characters will be up for the contest? I know, it's a little like cheating to know beforehand. I have worked mostly with necros and mesmers (each making up nearly a quarter of my work). Always willing to expand in any direction.

It will be either of the Monk or Ranger (Pictures of booth is above i think)

If i decide to go for the monk, (same as Starr Drew, lol she wants more

) It might be of her in several armors. I dont hope this is to much work(Response please

), well if it is we'll just keep to single.

Also Starr, im pretty much empty on money on this account - im getting my main back at 1/5 - So i think i have a couple of zkeys lying there

Also since i will use ALL my pred points as the prize(5x Acc), i do have a little problem, since everyone in HvH goes under cover with smurf names -.-''
