In my experience, Imageshack gives you forum tags for both a full-size, embedded-in-the-post image and a mini thumbnail image. Is the tiny image you're seeing in post preview also a link that goes to the full size image? If so, you need to copy the "Full Size" forum tag from Imageshack instead of the "Thumbnail" tag. Also, when you upload to Imageshack, I think there's a resize option. I don't know what it does, but you might try being sure it's off if the above doesn't work.
Be careful about how big the picture is. They tend to frown on an image so wide that most folks have to scroll to the right to see the whole thing. Not to mention that a sale thread with such wide pictures can be annoying to potential bidders.
Hope this helps,

I think the image restriction here on width is 800 pixels wide now. If you post larger images than that, your post may have the image changed to a url or removed altogether.

All posted images must be no larger then 800 x 600 in size and no larger then 600KB in file size.
That's from the screenshot exposition rules - the site rules state a maximum width of 680px and I'm not sure if the 800 is for that forum only or site-wide.

I recommend you use Photobucket instead. I have never had the problems you describe when using their (also totally free) service
