Unclear on birthday gifts.

So does this mean there's an extra birthday gift in it for all of us, or do they just mean that they're starting 4th-year gifts? (which would be a big "duh").

Its perfectly clear, when your toon turns four he gets a 2009 mini. No one turns four before April 28th so thats when we will see the 2009 miniatures for the 1st time.

it means everyone will be gitting a gift on the 28. from what year everyone will be getting a gift seems to be unclear. will it be from the upcoming year that your character is approaching or from the previous year that your character recieved a gift? if it's from the upcoming year, many people will be getting fourth year presents. if it's from the previous birthday your character had, only a select few people will be getting 4th year gifts from this, and it will be right on top of their true birthday; so u end up with few people having two 4th year gifts >_<. of course, if the gifts given out are for the upcoming birthday of a character, 4 year old characters can't quite recieve 5th year presents, so this is unlikely.

I believe that you have mis-interpreted this. Guildwars will be turning 4 years old on the 28th. That means character that were created on the release day will be first to recieve the 4th year miniatures. if you created your character 1 week after everyone else. you will have to wait a week. if it was 2 years then you wait the two years.

Personally, I grew bored of miniatures after the 2nd year. Does not mean im giving it away though :P only turn 4 once(x # of characters).

Uh no. How is this hard to understand. STARTING on the 28th anyone turning 4 will get a gift. You get the gift 4 years from when you started the game. GW came out on the 28th so its the earliest anyone can get a gift for being 4.

4 year olds get 4th year gifts, 3 year olds get 3rd year gifts, and so on.

why is it hard to understand that? its what has happened every year

That's exactly my point. It's happened every year so why the hell would they be spouting off about it like it's something new and golly-gee-wizz-bang?

Its not hard to understand at all and everyone does understand it. These are the usual forum games people play by pretending to misunderstand Anet in hopes of manipulating a change. What these "confused" players want is for everyone to get their present on the GW anniversary instead of the characters birthday. My guess is these "confused" players don't have B-days in April and don't want to wait till later in the year.

My birthday isn't until August and I'm more excited to see what the new mini-pets are and how much they cost right off the bat. Should be funny.

But there is no change. You have to wait until your character turns 4 in order to get the next birthday present. No extra ones.
