Probably will continue on with this one. This is a Guild Wars site, not exactly specific for JUST GW1. I'd assume that it will just stay with this site. An admin would know better then me though.

Inde?!?!
I think it would be cool to see a big re-vamp of the site if GW2 is released...thats just me.

hmm, interesting. would defenitely need new trade and discussion areas...

Guild wars guru is not specifically guild wars (1) original so it would be wise to just make another category called guild wars 2 with it's own sub category's
Guild wars guru is the largest guild wars community site as far as i know? so i would imagine keeping with the current domain and forum etc would be a benefit to all when guild wars 2 is released

It makes much more sense to me to launch a separate website.
There will probably still be a community of die-hards who want to play GW1, and will continue discussing it. Then there will be the fresh meat who may have never played the original. It would be chaos to mix together two communities talking about two different games.
Expanding the forum to include a GW2 section is a counter to that, but would make the forum huge (it's already pretty massive) and unwieldy.
There's no real reason to NOT launch a new website and forum.

By the time that GW2 comes out we won't need a forum since no one will be playing GW1 anymore.

The start of something new deserves something new.

Personally, I would prefer a new site. This ones bandwith is already pretty low slowing it down from the massive amount of users that stay constantly logged in slows it in. Now double(maybe?!?) that to add in gw2 and you have waiting 2 days to load up the homepage.

You can cancel the subscription after like a month afaik.
Also, if we would get a new site, it wouldn't be launched until the GW2 beta I'd guess, and subscriptions probably wouldn't carry over.

I'm going to let the Inde's very eloquent answer stand alone on this one
Actually I'm going to elaborate: let's get a release date and some real information on GW2 - then we'll talk about a GWG2. Until then, it's sort of pointless!

There is no Guild Wars 2, so why should there be a GWG2?
