I was never misguided.
When it came out it was bulky, had DRM, you couldn't play offline and overall was just a huge piece of crap. After that, I never bothered to even consider caring about it again.
Why involve some middle man I don't need? Why inconvenience myself? Why take the risk? I don't like that.
Call me old fashioned, but I like the way I do things, they're safe and they work.

Awesome to see this happen. Steam doesn't have a very strong library of RPG's, and this'll definitely help both of them out. Prophecies is already #4 on there!
Solas
how would this work if you bought it?
would they send you the key in an email or somthing?

Will there ever be a way to connect your existing Guild Wars account to your Steam account?
Sorry if it was posted already, I just don't quite have the time to look through the whole thread.

I see no reason why this can't happen with GW other than presumably Valve would look for some payment from Arenanet/NCsoft for the labour and bandwidth costs of letting a sizeable community register with and download from their servers.

Well hopefully they will let us do that sometime soon... seeing as Guild Wars would then be the only game from Steam that my laptop can run, but that's a whole other adventure.

off topic, but have you played Audiosurf? It should run on just about anything and is a small download so ideal for laptop use, and I love playing it on a laptop with the touchpad, probably more so than with a mouse.
