No, you misinterpreted what was on the site. The site says April 23rd. It doesn't say April 23rd 12:01AM PST. As long as the update comes before April 23rd at 11:59 pm PST, that's all they have to "deliver" on.

leave it up to Anet to create such confusion with their ambiguities and contradictions on what should otherwise be a very simple matter. Also, they have a proven track record for botching major holiday events.

the in-game login screen says noon, which right now was 2.5 hrs ago. So.......there very much is some Anet self-contradiction going on right now, and considering all the things up in the air, who knows WHAT is going to happen. Yesterday Lyndsey said (I believe in this thread) that info was coming 'very soon'. Well, it's about time to cough it up, because they are causing a big mess.

If it were any other weekend event or even any other birthday anniversary, I'm sure it would be simple. However, we know that this build is going to have some significant, beefy content, so I'm sure they want to make sure it's just right before releasing it.

First they have it written wrong and it says Thurs April 24th..They fixed it and made it Thurs April 23..they couldn't fix it and give us a "about" start time? I know this is supposed to be a big update and all, but geesh give the loyal members of GW a break. I know alot of people who rearrange their days and weekends around this special event.

linsey did state on her main page that the big update might not happen til next week. and all we get to day is the towns and cupcakes and things no storage or big things

I would be very dissapointed personally if the big update didnt happen tonight or tommorow, they have had plenty of time almost 4 months no?
Then again how long did it take anet to update/fix the rollerbeetle racing top 100? Only 3 years if i recall correctly and that was just a minor fix let alone a massive update
The update will come when it comes at the end of the day though, the event starting though i just realised how much they messed that up if its today or tommorow who knows

Next week? Sorry, but there is a limit. If it doesnt come tomorrow night, well, I'd just be very very very dissappointed. Its one thing to cancel a skill update, its quite another to post about BIG updates on the main website on a certain day, make a big song and dance about it with a fancy page devoted to these new updates and get everyone all excited and then simply not do it.

Although I do think that now they stated 7pm GMT they should start the festivities (Decorations, cakes whatever) and put people out of their misery.

Regina just came into Shing Jea 1 and said they didn't have a specific time yet but it'd be today. Boardwalk, cupcakes etc. I asked her about the storage and she didn't really specify if that'd be released today too.

I have a feeling when the update appears (in about 3+hrs) it will only enable the drops and the fireworks and nothing else.

Also if you check my original post I simply asked if it was a typo and if ANET is having attention to detail problems, gave some examples and got jumped on. Simply answer was nope tull not a typo they are just running late.

I am not a ANET hater by any stretch of the imagination but when there are issues such as the lack of any announcement for the easter weekend, the first typo on the GW game and what is posted on the GW website I will bring attention to it.
Oh wait not 4 years: 3 years 11 months 22 days 3 hours 32 minutes and 10 seconds, dont want to get jumped being ahead a few days.

I noticed the lack of Easter information too. I personally don't care about the cupcakes and boardwalk as they're there every year. I want the extra storage space and the menagerie...I really need the storage as anyone who has a full HOM can attest.
They introduce GWEN and you can put elite armors in the HOM, but of course you can add multiples, causing several people to buy a bunch of armor sets with no place to store them. Personally I think they should've created this storage update with GWEN because of that reason. That and the mini pets and weapons that can also be added in HOM.
Zaishen update is gonna be something new for everyone to try and when I first started playing this game I only chose ranger because of the pet option. True I don't use a pet that much now and love my class regardless but I love animals and...yeah.

A guildie has just in formed me that the update is now live! Must go see!
