I think he's making an inference based upon what happened the last time he displayed "Trophy greet text here". In that case he would trade for krait skins for the first 6 hours or so, then ANET released a new build which moved him to Nightfall and Behemoth hides were wanted.
I guess he just wanted to warn people that in these circumstances he *might* be relocated so people don't moan quite as much if they're left with Crests. That being said, as stated above, at least you can salvage these to feathers if that does happen.

They didn't move him, just fixed his text, so off to farm Quetzal Crests.

Thank Glod for that. Just spent ages farming my 20 crests when the new build message appeared - I feared the worst

Nice farm, spirit spammed the quetzals in verdant cascades, 20 crests in 20 minutes for my 2 accounts. Crappy gifts. I'm up to 60 mercantile summoning stones in my storage now

At least they fixed the text this time, rather than just bumping it a week like the Krait debacle. I mean, when they ran up against that problem then, didn't they check the remainder to ensure no others had said-same 'no text' issue?!...

If you are asking "Why do you need to use Summon Spirits?", then that is a more understandable question. The answer is because I drop the trap for an AoE blind, then activate spirit(s) on top of it, back up, trap, and I then use Summon Spirits to pull the spirits on top of my trap to AoE blind melee again. I'm not a huge fan of Shadowsong. Summon Spirits can also be used in a variety of different ways.

You must have typo'd - did you know that Ctrl+V can paste text into your "Manage Templates" window, rather than typing the string in manually?

This was one of the easiest farms yet.
Got all 30 crests I needed in 2 1/4 runs with sliver perma-sin.
For those slivering this, the only things that can go through SF is the well of suffering and signet of sorrow from the darks. Take them out first and then get away from their body immediately if there was another dark in the area. For some reason, they refuse to use the signet unless they have first used well of suffering so staying away from dead bodies means no damage.
If you are having trouble getting sliver to target them, take along a damage like brawling headbutt, ear bite or low blow. With Ural's hammer and Ebon standard one of those skills and your daggers are plenty to take out the one or two darks you will encounter at a time without slowing you down too much.

Well, these are not dropping badly at all. I did 5 runs to get my 63. I experimented solo, with 4 (me + 3 heroes) and 2 (me and 1 hero).
Solo was the best drops. In the party of 4, I only got 5 in that run. So, the other solo runs were all much (10+) better.
On my last haul of gifts, I finally got a moss spider egg, a few swords again, a few kegs and some of the other arb items. No pets though - I want another mini darnit!

On my primary account, my necro got enough Quetzal Crests in one solo run, but got the usual blah blah gifts in return. My rit on my secondary account took two solo runs to get enough Crests but got a Traveler's Walking Stick.
