Update to the HoM

Can someone maybe explain the below update to the hall of monuments mentioned by ANet?

"Revel in your glory on a bigger and broader scale—your Hall of Monuments now includes both personal AND account-wide achievements. Also, we've improved the display and usability of the monuments themselves. Now when you relive your greatest accomplishments, whether personal or account, you can sort them into a more pleasing arrangement. It's our way of making the Hall of Monuments that much better. Enjoy!"

Like, what exactly has changed? Yes you can arrange them differently, whoo hoo, but didn't they already include personal and account-wide achievements?

No. Previously, your HoM was separated by all of your characters, however account based titles appeared in each of the HoM. Now, you can change your HoM to display everything from each character's HoM.

So for example, my warrior's HoM armor monument had Elite Kurzick, Elite Gladiator's, Primeval and Vabbian in it. When I spoke to the historian NPC and changed my HoM to account wide for my warrior (you need to speak to the historian with each character if you want the HoM to display account-wide with each of your characters), a fifth set of armor was shown, Norn armor. The Norn armor was initially from my Ranger, but since my warrior is currently in the HoM a statue of my warrior wearing Norn armor appears.

any weapons, mini's, heros, and title monuments as well as the armor monument can be displayed on any character. get a title on one character, can display the monument on any. dedicate a mini on one char, display it on any othe one. etc etc.

Now you can see how every armor (granted if you have that armor on any character) will look like with any dye on any other character. My monk now has Obsidian armor.
