Favorite new combinations? (Makeovers)

after playing around with the preview tool for hours, I broke down and got some credits. so my necro actually looks like the one a couple of posts before now, and I also polished up my ele and mesmer. It felt really weird to change characters that I'd had for three years, so I tried to only do stuff that does not change their visual character tooo much (except for mesmer on which I went CRAZY!! ).

Shala before.. and after. She became closer to her minions and her skin got paler.. she also dyed her hair and changed her hairstyle..


Hail Fall before.. and after.. After staying in Elona, her skin became more tanned also she let her hair grow out and dyed it slightly too.

Pondering changing my Necromancer main from this:



to this (hairstyle from NF, skin color from Prophecies):



Though the only major change is the hair style, this style looks a lot blacker, which is what I originally wanted when I created him. I also decided that his skin should be a lot paler. I like the idea of Necros losing their color as they spend more time developing their skills. Like they lose some of their soul whenever they tamper with the dead.

My old Tyrian face with a Canthan hair style (I think). I can't even say how much I love this new combo! xD

The second one was my Mesmer's hairstyle before I gave her a makeover. I love the hairstyle, but I'll warn you - it clips though armor a lot. That's why I ended up changing it - it was driving me nuts.

Oh, and Kamikaze, I probably would have done that hair + face in this monk makeover, but that's the face that my main monk has and I didn't want them to have the same one I think it's really nice looking though

if i were to make one of my 3 favourite proffession chars undergo a makeover, this is the combos i'd probably choose:

Gave my ele a once over which I already posted in the ele thread but i'll put it here as well. I like how this one turned out

Got my ele new armor but hated how it was clipping at the back of the neck, and since almost all male ele hair clips with the FoW's ridiculously high colar I decided to get an extreme makeover!



NF face and skintone, Prophecies hair and haircolor.

I've never really played female avatars in MMO's so it will take some getting used to but I love how she turned out, and no weird clipping going on .

The first picture is how my warrior looks now, the two others are combinations I really like. I LOVE the 2nd face with the little scar.

My warrior is the only character I wanna give a change though and buying credits for only 1 char is just too lame

I was fiddling around the sex change button and I found out that Elvira turns into an ugly man..

I would never change my little Ele. I love her too much.

I don't know, he looks like he should be somewhere writing extremely angsty poetry that talks about 'tears of blood' and 'dark embrace of death' or something or the other, but it's the closest match I could find to my original necro:

hothothot! I love these changes, but most of all, I'm glad that when my monk is running around in her full fow she doesnt look like such a clone! She was definitely one of the masses before (i'm second from the left :P):

This is great I've wanted to do over my mesmer and warrior, I think I might have my warrior nailed but the mesmer is proving tricky... so many good looks! xD

There's a really nice prophecies face I've always liked, and I think it goes well with this hair. Not sure where I got the colour, don't remember xD

went for a completly different look on my necro, wanted him more dead looking, as they should be imo & to get rid of the armor clippage caused by the hair, looks pretty cool i think, nice result.



Didnt want to go to the extreme with the warrior, he's the most played & i wanted it easier on the eye hehe.

As I've stated elsewhere, I'm not going to pay unless they make it a pay to unlock, but that doesn't mean I can't have fun imagining my chars. Here's what I've been thinking to do for my eles:

I figure now that Jenna's visited her ancestral home (Istan), she wants to stop relaxing her hair (it's also probably a pain when she is out adventuring for long periods of time). I can't decide between two hairstyles, though (original on the left, sorry about weird sizing but I got lazy on the croppage)






I've never been happy with the way Elly looks. She's supposed to be British (really - long story, but in short she's a SW/HP crossover to begin with), but I wanted to make her from the outset, and my first game was Factions, so I had to make do with what I had (her mum turned out all right since SW humans are fairly mixed, IMO). So, I toyed around with different looks at the stylist and ended up changing EVERYTHING (Proph face + skin, NF hair + color). It's very, very different, but it much more accurately reflects her parentage.




AAAAND today I was using my mez to check out looks for the 2 characters on my entry for the ARFMB poster contest and came up with this beauty (look for on the poster when I finish it). Factions hair, NF everything else (looks nothing like the base char, haha):
