I finally got my free storage....after I earn my 20 slot storage bag I'm taking a break.

And who cares if it's a waste of money, many things are but that doesn't stop people from purchasing who knows I might buy some and I'm pretty frugal these days.

I bought all the tabs, it's much less hassle for me than to keep searching for things on mules, or to be able to quickly see what I really have available. I've wasted so much time in the past looking around for an upgrade I knew I had *somewhere*. Whether it is worth it to you or not depends on how much your time is worth, and that varies a lot from person to person.

I've also gotten a lot of enjoyment hours out of this game over the years for what it cost, and another $40 is peanuts. It does make me realise my cable tv costs are a complete ripoff by comparison though.

I'll probably buy a couple once I get paid on Thursday, as my bank account's kind of... empty at the moment. ;(

Granted it's a microtransaction, I don't see why others that find it too expensive yet still want it, can't treat it as such. If buying all four at once is too pricey (and it is a wee bit for an Australian like myself - 9.99 = $15), then just buy one every now and then.

It's not exactly expensive - at all - if you're buying them over a period of time.

Ooh, actually, living in the United Kingdom, they've put prices in pounds.
The storage (and other items) which are $9.99, are being sold to us for £5.99. Which is actually cheaper for us I guess, since $9.99 is currently worth £6.86, and £5.99 - $8.72.

Only the free one. The other ones are a bit expensive for what you get.

A year ago, I DID buy 4 character slots to use as storage. A character with all bags provides more space than a Xunlai pane, and you also can play it. :-)

Free ones for me. I wont pay 10 bux for an extra storage pane when I can buy a new char slot for 10. Pricing is out of whack IMO.

I bought all four. A couple of nights ago, I was trying to rearrange all my books and consumables and minipets and greens, which involved playing ring around the rosie with several characters and mules, and I thought about how much more convenient it would be if I just had more storage. So I bought more storage. I'm very, very happy with it.

Zero, but as of today I have the free pane on all of my accounts. Broken record here, but again, the money isn't the issue, it's a question of the value for the money...

Assuming $20 retail for a single campaign with 4 character slots, then $40 = 8 characters (with all bags = 360 slots, plus another 40 if you get the small equipment pack), 2 xunlai chests (one regular pane, free pane if bought before promotion ends, plus materials storage = 80 slots plus mats), more zkeys every month, and 8 more minis every year (plus just having more characters to play with). And it only gets better if you find a good deal on accounts with multiple campaigns.

Or for the same money, you could get 4 more character slots (180 storage slots with regular bags, 200 with small equip packs as well), no more zkeys, no more panes, 4 more bday minis/year.

Or for the same money, 4 more xunlai panes (80 slots) for, but no more zkeys, no more minis, no more characters.

Intangible factor is the convenience of having more xunlai panes on your main account. That's not enough IMHO to make up for the relative value I could get by buying additional accounts instead.

Haven't bought any as of yet. We just bought a house (yay!) so won't be buying little upgrades like that for a couple of months, or until things settle down financially. At that point we'll most likely get all 4 on our main accounts, just for the ease of swapping stuff between characters.

We got the free pane on all of our accounts though. Boy was that pain in the arse.

Agreed, it all comes down to how much the convenience is worth to you. For me, it's worth a lot. I knew that I could buy character slots and gain more storage slots for the same price, but I wanted the convenience of storage that all my characters can access without having to log into a mule. It's made the game more enjoyable for me--best game-related purchase I've made in a while!

So far only have the free one on my main acct. I'm unsure if I'll buy additional storage panes as I see both sides of the "is it worth it" argument. I've bought 3 character slots in the past (in order to fulfill the BMP promotion) and while definetly offering more storage space it is a hassle switching and re switching to find the mule with the right item on it

Also I'd want the additional storage as a place to keep my chars armor until I can get a hvy equip bag for them. (switching armor in and out of a storage pane is a huge pain in the arse when getting a char ready for any adventuring).

This is exactly why we are willing to purchase the extra storage tabs. We want the convenience of just being to get what we're after rather than playing musical characters or even musical accounts. We have 40+ characters that we store stuff on and sometimes its just really annoying to find what you're looking for.

none, why more storage anyways?

You can benefit much more from multiple account; a LOT more storage available, monthly tourny pts, another account. Only drawback is the hassle of transfering from account to account.
