where is free storage?

anyone see this when trying to access the guildwars ncstore, and nothing shows up?

does that mean I can't get free storage ? -_-

Free Xunlai Storage Pane—Limited Time Offer

To celebrate the Guild Wars® 4 Year Anniversary, we're giving away a free pane of storage to all Guild Wars players. Here's how you can claim your free pane of storage:


1. Go to the Guild Wars section of the NCsoft Store, select Xunlai Storage Pane and click on the Buy Now button.
2. You will go to the Xunlai Storage Pane information page—click on the Buy Now button again.
3. You will be prompted to log in to your NCsoft account (NOTE: This is different from your Guild Wars account). If you do not already have one, please click the Create Account button and follow the prompts.

NCSoft apparently didn't prepare for the traffic. I'm just going to wait a couple days before I try again.

I'd take a more ad hominem approach but I see other game companies making the same mistakes over and over again so I'll just shut up.

I can see other options to buy in other page like lineage or city of heroes, but just not guildwars tab...

I saw it and couldn't get past the ordering page anyway.

The site is saturated with visits, I think it's best to give it a few days, let everything calm down. That's what I'm going to be doing, although the temptation to try again is very high xD

WHY!! =( everything was fine but !!! this came out.. no free storage for me..

Keep trying, or restart and try again. Things to try, type in FREESTORAGE, do not copy paste. I had the same problem, took a little while then it worked

I tried copying and pasting it in twice, didn't work either time. When I simply typed in freestorage it worked just fine. So I would agree with Zoaka and try typing it in instead.

Weird, I had the opposite problem. Yakked on me typing 'FREESTORAGE', but copy/pasting from the same page worked fine.

I guess if it yaks doing one, then try the other.

Argh! It keeps telling me that my account name is not available (and it is between 5 and 12 letters and it starts with a letter), what am I doing wrong?

I can't find the "Link and Select Account button." after I logged in. Where did I go wrong?

I get the exact same screen, I can't get past this step at all. I've followed the instructions to the letter, and my playable Guild Wars account is already linked to my NC store account (I have an @plaync login instead of my e-mail).

I really don't understand how I can get my free storage!

Not much else I can say on getting in. If you are getting past the username & password prompts, the rest is just a matter of the site working or not working.

They've failed to allow properly for the number users visiting the site for the free storage. Some people may not be able keep trying due to the short window of availability (as opposed to other shop items that are available 'forever' from the store) so they will be twice as resolute in trying until they succeed.

Things they might have done to avoid this (Hint-hint):
* Warn us in advance that we'd need to log into the Play-nc site for this (If there was such a warning, I didn't see it, but I didn't really go looking as I wasn't going to bother taking steps to get the storage until it was available.) It took me more than a day to get my login details from the over-loaded site, and I wager I'm not the only user scrambling for login details. (However, without us going through the site, we won't see what other games are offered... Hrm. Clever. Keen idea, offering special items via the site like that, but the limited time offer turns it into an automatic deal-breaker. When the buying experience is unpleasant, even for a free item, we will be unlikely to extend the experience long enough to pay for other products).

* Manage this via in-game mechanics. Talk to npc xyz, as long as your acct has the play-ncsoftlink, grant access. Game accounts without the link will be referred to set it up and denied the bonus storage until that is done. Remove npc xyz after the event.
* Don't have a 'offer expires' date. This deadline only encourages users to rush into the site, causing a more severe load on the servers.
* Rent/borrow extra server capacity -- Sometimes, sly maneuvering is no substitute for brute force solutions like this.

I did manage to came to moment that I have to link my NCSoft Account to my GuildWar account but after I enter my guildwar account and hit continue it gaves me an error and when I tried again it gives me this: "The specified account is already linked to another NCsoft account. Please contact Customer Support if you require additional help.".

Now what do I do.

I get the same thing as the OP. My account is already linked. Tried different browsers and I always get the same screen with only links to commercial retailers.

I've bought expansions, preview packs etc via the in-game store in the past without any problems. NC should enable this promotion in their in-game store as well as it seems a lot more stable (to me anyway).

i got the same message and did what is suggested : contact support.

It works fine now...

You can look for the original 'Welcome To PlayNC!' email which has the user ID in it, then go through the steps to reset the password on that user ID, or you can try contacting support, however I have cannot begin to guess what they can/will do, or what information they will ask for.

100% opposite for me i typed it in 2 times each time got the invalid coupon msg,copy and pasted it it worked 1st time

If you have bought anything in the online store (the in game one) the game creates a ncsoft account for you, how to retrieve this login name?

Ask them I suppose.

the problem is that we cannot buy stuff from the store therefore we are useless to them...
