Change the equipment pack item layout @ merchant
Rice
I noticed that when i got the merchant, the items in my Equipment pack are always listed in the bottom of the sell list. Since Equipment pack can only store armor/weapons, those are the thing you dont want to merchant by accident. So I suggest Anet change the layout of the list and put the items in the equip pack on top of the sell list so we dont accidently sell our armor/weapon.
Any thoughts?

or put a dungeon book, con, tome, ext in the very last normal bag slot so you cant get to last bag at all, that is what i always did, hide what you dont wanna lose behind something you cant merch
also any armor or weapon that is in weapon set will ask if you are sure you want to merch said item

I do both of those. I have unchecked the Small Equipment Pack and have Books at the end of the last bag. Works quite well as I haven't merched a weapon yet.

Your argument is weak. It won't be considered.

For me is better at the bottom. I keep the things I want to sell near the top. Belt is for consumables and books, and the lasts bags are for stuff I want to keep an eye on, like rares, unidentified golds or equipment.

I mainly focus on all the items in my first bag but now with the equipment pack I don't have to worry about losing any of my main weapons anymore. Just uncheck everything else and you should be fine.

I almost sold stuff by accident the first time I notice this at the merchant, but after that, I have the pack disabled via the check box. It really kinda varies though by how you have your personal preferences to how you arrange your backpack.

This, QFT. Just uncheck it in the merch and you don't have to worry about it.

How about this idea... we have a separate window that we can place any item into when we want to remove from inventory. When we do this, we can look it over to make sure we don't sell off the items we didn't intend to get rid of.
I did this a few times to know it should be changed, I did it again last night when I sold all my Grawl Necklaces without even realizing.

Here is a thought. You can always organize your items before you merch them.

No, because if it was at the top of the list then I'd be selling all my weapons and armor.
Not everyone organizes their inventory the same, and they already gave you ways to prevent selling your weapons and armor. If you can't be bothered to use what has already been given to you, then ANet shouldn't be bothered with your silly suggestions.
