Just as a note, this is the first time I've ever bought anything online with any form of credit card so it's probably me doing something wrong.

Anyway, I don't feel comfortable with using credit cards online, so I thought I'd buy myself a $30 American Express Giftcard as a belated birthday present so I could finally get the BMP, along with 2 extra character slots. Hopefully anyone that's ever had the same idea can help me.

The problem is that I'm unsure what information to place in the personal information fields, like the name and address. Since I bought it with cash at my local mall, I didn't have to fill out anything that would link this card to that information. It seems that Visa Giftcards have you register online somehow, but AmEx doesn't do that. Now, after looking about online, what the people out there (points towards the internet) say to do is just fill in my own information. I did so and I keep getting the following error:

Quote:
The order did not pass risk management assessment (Code = 175118)
The way I see it, the in-game store is rightfully trying to validate my credit card 'account' but the information doesn't match up with the non-existent data. So, if anyone has any suggestions about how to handle this or how they've handled it in the past, I'm quite open to hearing about it.

Well I've used the visa gift cards like you said and they have you register on their account with you info and it takes about 30 mins to process it. Never used AmEx though, if it came in a cardboard packet thing id look in there about customer service, when I called Visas number it asked if I wanted to register my card and to like press 1 or something of that sort, either way id look for a phone number or a website address, Sorry if i wasn't too much help but thought I might as well try. Best of luck.

Report your problem to the support team and they will help you. I had a similar error message once when I was trying to use an american credit card, altough my account is german. They are surprisingly fast when its about money.

Thanks Gei, it's nice to have someone with personal experience posting.

And thank you Jongal, I'll definitely do that!
