I figured I'd make a post since I had this problem, and judging from the other thread, so have many other people.

I can't remember my NCsoft account name and password.

In the account information fields, be sure to enter your account information. If you are unable to provide a piece of information, please explain why in your submission.

A cool trick is to go to create account and keep typing in names that you would haved use until it says one is unavailable. That's how I found my account name.

I've just been punching in variations on my name and password (think it was the password I got wrong because I forgot there was a number involved). Eventually I'll get it right.

The precise description is located under "Account Information Field Descriptions." If you don't have that information, you should be okay if you provide your game account e-mail, then at least one of your primary serials (Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall).

At any rate it's easier to just send an e-mail and get a response than to continue guessing. I spent about two hours intermittently guessing before I gave up, and I got a response in 27 hours.

Actually, I found the name-testing advice helped (it's useful if you only have a handful of handles and passwords that you mix and match to suit site requirements). Found my username on second try, then managed to remember the number I'd thrown in the only password long enough for their requirements. If you're really stumped, though, I'd contact support.

On another note, if you're going to try the name-testing things, now is the time - just did it and there was ZERO lag. Actually, it was running about 4x as fast as Guru is for me right now. Guess they fixed it.

I gave up on it. I have more than one account and I don't remember which keys correspong to which accounts and I know better than to contact customer support and well.......... it would have been nice if they gave everyone a free storage pane instead of a free storage pain.

The whole thing is nothing more than a scam to get you to sign up at the online store anyways lol

I forgot all my information for NCsoft Master account too. I sent in the information from the OP's first post. I could only find my Factions and Nightfall Key so I gave them that. They sent me a Temp Password and my account name in about 20 hours from my post. I now have my "4th Year Aniv." Storage Panel!! WOOT! Since I had my Nightfall BOX out I decided to write down my NCsoft Account and Password right on the CDKey paper in Nightfall box so I know were to find it next time i need to use NCSoft Master account.

Yes it is a ploy to get you to merge your GW account to NCsoft so you are one step closer to being able to buy at their online store. Guildwars is a free to play game so I don't blame them for trying new ways to generate income for Guildwars. No new Items for sale have ANYTHING to do with an advantage playing so its all good with me.

It's ok to provide just one of the serials? I think I know the email address I used to register (it's got ncsoft correspondence in it, but no mention of account information), but I'm not sure where all my access key cards are.

Lost my ncsoft account and they sorted it out for my pretty quickly, given that all I had were my GW codes and couldn't remember any ncsoft account details at all.

I really didn't get the same treatment others complain of they replied to my email within 24 hours were polite asked for extra information and got me up and running again within 6 days total.

It would have been 3 days but when I got to my clue question I couldn't remember that either so back to ncsoft and another 3 days
I recon the time they took to sort out one customers account details with little to go on is pretty good.
Maybe I am just a very patient person

I reset my password and entered a new one.

Now I've been trying to log in with the correct username and password but it marks it as wrong anyways. Hooray for horrible korean programmers!

I know this is shocking, but you know, REMEMBER YOUR BLOODY USERNAME. There's always a "I forgot pass gimme reset email" button for the rest.

It's not a scam if you're too stupid to remember something or write it down somewhere.

I have forgotten my username and password, but to be it worse, my game account e-mail is shut down and my old NCsoft account is merged to it, so can't merge my GW account to new the e-mail. Is there a way to solve this problem?

it had been 3 years since I had been to the site, like yeah, I dont remember my password....login is easy....so I went to 'forgot password' got to 'enter new password' and the site timed out, took another 2 hours to FINALLY get a new password (which is now written down somewhere so IF I need to do this again I will know what it was)....
was funny that they asked for me to verify my email addy and that one also timed out 3 times before I got thru....I guess they know that if its been years that people may actually have new email addys!

Remember my username ! easy to say not so easy in practice, since given the number of games and other computer frippery I am signed up for I recon I have a couple of dozen to remember.

Fast approaching age 59 I had to give up relying on memory and needed a good reliable backup for forgotten deleted or corrupted computer details.

I went back to a notebook and pen, wrote PC on the front and put all passwords and computer setup details inside.

So far I haven't lost the pad just as well since I now have the ncsoft info written down there.
