Hi To one and all. my question / problem I have built a character which is my 8th character but in my opinion the best one that I have built.Originally it was created in Factions I then proceeded on into Night Fall, EOTN, and finally reverted back to Prophesies as I was running out of quests / Missions to run in.
My problem is that as a "foreigner" I was not able to run on any of the quests in Prophesies I was able to run the missions but they dried up pretty quickly especially as I had already taken the "Lion Arch" option a while ago and the steps from Tyria in missions were few.
My progress From Lions arch has taken me to the "Ring of Fire " islands and have reached " Hell's Precipice" but to date have not been able to complete it, I am led to believe that this is the final mission of the Tyrian campaign so there is nothing more for me to do here apart from re-running already completed missions.
My progress in EOTN have come to a premature end as I have been bogged down in the underground/dungeon quests " Heart of Shiverpeaks quest"The Anvil of Dragrimmar" & "Rragors Menagerie" are all beyond my abilities, and as I have come up against those brick walls no other quests are forthcoming.
In Factions I seem to have come to almost the end of that campaign as I have reached the "Imperial Sanctum" but as of yet been unable to defeat Shiro. There are other "things" I could do in this area but all it would mean is accruing Faction points for the "Kurzacs" or the "Luxons" in the "Jade Quarry" battles or "Fort Aspenwood" the former is always populated but Aspenwood to date I have never been able to fight there due to insufficient numbers of opponents but to be truthful PVP does not interest me.
The Night Fall campaign is a total loss as somewhere along the line I must have missed some quests and now there are no more forthcoming as with other characters I was able to pick up quests in Astralarium, Campions Dawn,Beknur Harbour & the Issnur Isles but I have not been able to access any quest at all with this character .
On the Vabian Mainland I have also got some grief as I Have not been able to complete the Dzagonur Bastion mission, no more missions are forth coming, there are at least three others which I know of but am unable to access, one is at the "Grand Court of Sebelkeh but I cannot remember how I got there in another life, the other two are the "Poghan Passage" & the "Dasha Vestibule" Missions both of which require "Margrid the Sly " to be in your party and as I chose the "Master of Whispers" in earlier missions I have not been able to add her to my hero list.
I have searched Wiki extensively and have seen over and over again that I can gain her by entering the Marga Coast from Yohlon Haven which I have done on numerous occasions and have covered all of Marga Coast and never found Margrid at all, so all the quests which apply to her are also lost.
I have explored Vabbia quite a lot and found Nundo Bay & Dajkah Inlet but as it was only on exploration no quest has ever materialized from there also there was a quest entitled the "Battle of Turai's Procession" which I was wiped out so many times so gave up for the night and when I tried to return to it the next day I could not find it again and to date have never come across it or any other quests which it may have led to. also I have come across " the gates of Desolation" in another Character but have been unable to find it again, as I am loath to find these outposts by exploration as to date when I have done this no quests are then availiable as they seem to lead on to each other from Quest to quest.
I have received advice on numerous occasions to "Join a Guild" which would help me to a) complete mission that I am unable to complete on my own or b) to "beg" someone who has Margrid in their hero list to let me tag along on those missions which apply to her ( I have tried this many times with noinvites) but also any quests which apply to margrid would be lost to me.
On a lot of the occasions when I have joined others in quests / Missions I have had my builds criticised so many times I stopped asking to join or "Party search" so now if I join a party and I am asked to show my build I tell them not to bother I will go it alone with henchmen.(call me paranoid or what ?)
There have been some good people who have helped me along the way and they allowed me to add them to my friends list, also on some occasions I have again asked them for help , but realize that they are playing for their own enjoyment not to help some loner to complete missions which they have done many times before.so I now balk at asking them for help especially as I now have so few missions to complete.
I know this missive is rather long and my sentences / paragraphs are also too long , I know a writer I am not, so please forgive me if I bore you as I am only putting my thoughts into words as they come into my head.
Many times I have been advised to "Go to Wiki" to answer my problems, but "Wiki" is a very large resource and unless you ask the right questions you cannot find the right answers also this forum is so large it is not possible to search it thoroughly for each subject which may cause confusion.
Many thanks.

Well...what builds are you running on your heroes as well as your own skillbar?
We can help you here, but we'll need to know more than "I can't beat.."
Many areas almost require certain builds to get through them. Or some areas will destroy you for bringing the wrong skills. That is where the wikis come in. Look up the mission or quest you want to do, look at the creatures you will be fighting. You may notice some things like..."Oh, this mission has loads of creatures that deal fire damage." Now you have something to work with. [Mantra of Flame] may help you there. Consider bringing a water elementalist, or even changing your secondary profession to elementalist and bringing [Conjure Frost].
Imperial Sanctum and Hell's Precipice can be hard. And frustrating. But with the right build anything will go down easy.
As for Magrid, there are a few splits in the Nightfall storyline where one hero will take you one way and another hero will take you somewhere else. If you choose Master of Whispers, then you'll need to finish Nightfall before you can get yourself a Magrid and be able to do the missions that require her.
oh..and when you open up your quest log, everything is organized by zones. Except the top group should be primary quests. These are the quests that will lead you to new missions.

Most Titans are not fleshy and thus immune to conditions such as Bleeding, Poison, and Disease. These Titans will also not leave a corpse that could be exploited by Necromancer skills. Minion masters, minion bombers and any build that includes skills relying on corpses - such as wells or Putrid Explosion - are therefore not recommended for this mission.
Risen Ashen Hulks will nevertheless create minions using Aura of the Lich. Since these titans are usually not priority targets, Verata's Gaze on a secondary necromancer with a 4 points on Death Magic may be useful to reduce the pressure on your monks coming from their extra damage. You may also use Verata's Aura but keep in mind it may be stripped by the hulks if not covered.
Extinguish may help alleviate the Burning caused by being adjacent to some titans. However, Burning will be reapplied if players remain adjacent to the titan
Rust will leave the Hand of the Titans and Fist of the Titans open while they use Healing Signet. Often, they can be defeated before completing activation due to the lower armor
Since the Titans use Fire damage, it can be useful to bring an Insignia with bonus armor against Fire and/or Elemental damage such as Pyrebound, Dreadnought, Wanderer's, or Pyromancer. If using Winter, bring Frostbound Insignia and Hydromancer Insignias instead
Elementalists can bring Ward Against Harm or Ward Against Elements to reduce damage from spark fire spells, and Maelstrom to interrupt sparks clumped together
Cold damage works better than fire against titans
Since Risen Ash Hulks can strip enchantments and have the least priority, (your party will often leave them to be killed last, since they are least dangerous) bringing a cover enchantment to cover key spells such as attunements and bonds is not a bad idea
Having a couple of party members carrying Rebirth can be extremely useful for resurrecting fallen allies too close to foes
It may be worthwhile bringing a Signet of Capture seeing that there are a number of Elite skills available only from this mission (and the experience bonus when you capture an elite skill may help with death penalty)
The most devastating enemies in this mission deal some form of fire damage. If you or your heroes have Mesmer as a secondary class, putting some points in Inspiration Magic and using Mantra of Flame helps to reduce fire damage a great deal. Heroes will also use this skill properly. Coupling that with Leech Signet and/or Power Drain is also a very effective way to gain extra energy, as well as interrupt your enemies
Winter is still quite effective because the creatures in this Mission are vulnerable to Cold Damage. However, bear in mind that the previous strategy would need to be modified to use Mantra of Frost instead.
A tank with Frigid Armor is a good idea.

Anti-melee hexes such as Empathy and Spiteful Spirit, as mentioned above.
Echo and Arcane Echo allow you to use your celestial skill multiple times in a row.
Skills that deal damage while ignoring armor, such as Obsidian Flame, are a big help when fighting Shiro; but be sure to remove his Battle Scars stance first.
Pain Inverter is particularly useful in this mission.
If you have the elite, have you, your party and/or your heroes activate Shield of Judgment when Shiro's health is low and begins using Impossible Odds. This will effectively act as a second stackable Storm of Swords considering that it activates with every attack performed during Impossible Odds. Also, since his attack does AoE damage, each player under the effects of Shield of Judgment will activate a stream of pain.
If you have access to two hero monks, equipping a Life Bond build on both heroes plus Shield of Deflection or Life Sheath can make survival much easier. These skills, however, do nothing to protect against Meditation of the Reaper, therefore a high damage output remains important. Divine Healing / Heaven's Delight or similar skills can somewhat mitigate the impact by helping with a quick recovery. Keep in mind that Mhenlo also provides some healing when trying these skills.
as for nightfall..everything is pretty linar just gotta follow your main quests and finish missions.
for Dzagonur Bastion, you probably need more then 1 human. try 2 players with 3 heroes ea. hope this helped, sorry i didnt read your whole post just the tidbits.

Hey man send me a PM with your character name and we can go beat the crap outta those missions with my guildies for fun sometime in the next couple days
Crom The Pale
You need to find a live party that can help you with those missions if you can't beat them with Hero/Henchmen.
As you complete those missions more will be unlocked.
I also recomend you finish off both Prophicies and Factions to unlock Hard Mode. Playing on Hard Mode will tune your skills since the difficulty level is much higher. Once you can win on Hard Mode you will find normal mode missions a cake walk.

If you refuse the advice to join a guild, won't ask for help, won't learn to make a build that a PuG will accept, and can't find things on the wiki, then I'm not quite sure what magic this thread will do for you. All we can do is give you more of the same: advice, pointers to information, and offers of help.
Both of the wikis have complete tables of the primary quest/mission chains and complete lists of all quests, including side quests, in each campaign. These are easy to find, since they are linked right off the main page under "Quests" and "Missions". Those links will lead you to lists for each campaign. For example:
Wiki List of Prophecies Missions
Wikia Prophecies Mission Overviews
Wiki List of Prophecies Quests
Wikia List of Prophecies Quests
You certainly should have found many quests to do in Prophecies once your character got to Lion's Arch, since foreign characters are offered the same quests as native characters from that point forward, not just missions. The lists should help you figure out which ones you've missed.
In EotN and Factions, if you have decided that certain things are simply beyond your abilities and always will be, then you are at a dead end unless you convince or pay someone else to do them for you. Nobody can hand you "ability" on a platter. OTOH, we can happily offer advice on specific matters if you are trying to improve your abilities through study and practice. And the wikis have plenty of advice on each quest and mission, easily found by following the handy link for the specific quest or mission in the lists of quests or missions. You don't have to read the whole wiki to find help for one particular roadblock, so its hugeness is beside the point.
In Nightfall, the story branches at a couple of points depending on which hero you choose. You must do the missions/quests with that hero to advance the story, and the quests for the other hero will not be available to you until after you finish the campaign, though you can do the missions if you join the party of someone who has the other hero. There is no use looking for Margrid anywhere if you have already chosen Master of Whispers. You will need to do Rilohn Refuge and Dzagonur Bastion instead of Pogahn Passage and Hidden City. The Nightfall Mission Overviews page shows the branches very clearly.
After you finish the campaign, you will meet all the heroes in the endgame area and receive quests to add those you did not choose before (Jin vs Sousuke, Margrid vs Master, Norgu vs Goren). Then you may go back and do their side quests and missions.

As for the OP give me a pm ingame and ill be happy to help, always ask - if people are rude to them just label them as a jackass and ignore, it's very hard/impossible to teach yourself.
Also join a large pve guild that cares, those are invaluable for new/inexperienced players. Quite a few of these guilds spam guild chat(slight exaggeration) with offers to help people because they like doing so.
