Can I just say that during my time reading on here the flames and what not between the PvE and PvP diehards I was expecting a bad time of it with the TA zaishen combat chalenge, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised that even as a newbie in PvP there was no /rank spamming and people were very gracious at end of the matches win or lose. For that reason I must say that we SHOULD try to get along more with each other as it has obviously been proven that we CAN get along.

PVP players and PVE players that hate on eachother are idiots, plain and simple.

Yeah... now that our skills are split, there's really no reason at all for people from the two communities to dislike each other. As a PvE person who tried over and over to run my characters in PvE (finally got a PvP chara... but caved and made her a PvE too in the end), I'm thankful for everyone who gave me pointers or even just didn't laugh at me. It's always nice run into truly mature people in the game.

It seems that when there's an extra goal to obtain, besides just winning, people pull together pretty well. Yesterday in AB there wasn't any within-team bitching about capping or not capping, because EVERYONE was capping. I've never seen so many AB's go so well...6 in a row for the quest and it was a Kurzick rout every time at Grenz...happiness abounded. And surprisingly enough there wasn't much whining going on from the luxons in the process...just a bunch of resigning.

That's because 90% of the people in TA over that day were PvE'ers anyway.

This was very nice. Bodes well for a HA z-quest.

Yea... there are so many new players in TA so we got tired of /rank and just giggled on vent....

But gg! It's nice to see TA to be this active! ^___^

There is a lot of nice people in the PvP community, unfortunately when you only look at RA or AB, it's more like finding a needle in a haystack.

One team took 8 minutes to beat us bunch of scrubs running a terrible team build with 0 defense... TBH they just embarrassed themselves when most of them flashed a phoenix.

This was after getting 10 consecs with said terrible team so yes, it was obvious that most of TA was newbies.

TA is 99.9% empty most of the time. So the majority of people there were probably all pvers.

It's quite shocking (xD) how you see wars with phoenix's that can't land a single bulls strike in a 6 minute game...

Grind doesn't mean skill.

Now if you got some good GvGs into TA... slaughter.

Being good at GvG doesn't mean you'll own at TA.

It makes you a good player in general for PvP but arenas are slightly different.

Yes, they will farm bad players like me but some good TA players will beat players from top guilds like rawr and kmd.

You've had some unusual experiences if you associate rank spamming and trash talk as a sort of given for RA/TA. Yeah it comes up, but in a relatively small percentage of matches. Most of the time it's pretty silent from both sides.

Can you please explain to me how does /rank help anyone, show anything, or entertain anyone?
After 4 years I still cannot get it.

Only if said player learns from their mistakes over the course of the HA grind. You should be surprised at the amount of retards who don't.

a player with higher rank is more likely to have more experience and therefore more likely to benefit your team.

yes, people can have g7 and still suck at arenas, but a far larger percent of g0 players will suck at arenas, and generally their suckage will be more severe. if your goal is to win and the only perceivable difference between two players competing for a spot in your team is their rank i can see no reason to take the lower-ranked player.
