Professor Yakkington & small equip pack question

So I checked Wiki after hearing rumors that you can trade 50 red iris flowers to Professor Yakkington for a small equipment pack and it says you can. But no matter what I do, the yak won't give me the pack. I've clicked on him a million times with the 50 flowers in inventory and nothing. What's going on?

Are you talking to the Pre-Searing Professor Yakkington? Because that's the one you need to talk to.

No, I didn't know it was limited to Pre. That's pretty stupid...but thanks for your answer. Guess I farmed 50 flowers for nothing.

I think he's referring to the post-searing Professor Yakkington who is/was in Regent Valley next to Nicholas the Traveler. I was under the impression he was supposed to give you the small pack for 50 iris's but maybe it's a bug. (Either he's supposed to give it, or he's not supposed to be there.)

The pre-searing Yakkington is the one who trades flowers for small equipment packs. Post-searing Yakkington just sniffs at ya. If you want one in post, you'll have to buy it from the merchant.

Actually you can turn them in for the post sear prez and mabey get a mini gwen-chan or something
