So tell me about how you get dishonorable for reporting leechers.

Was screwing around in JQ and there's this one leecher. I go ahead and report him while everyone else just spams the living shit pinging his name out in team chat and i'm the only one who reported him while he afk'd the whole game.

I guess that's why they're just pinging him instead of reporting? Cause it gets you dishonorable? I'd attempt to find a wormhole in this what seems to be flawless logic, but it just makes too much sense! YOUSOSMART, anet, bunch of winners you are. Keep it up, champs.

According to Anet, a third of the team has to report the leecher or the one(s) who do gain dishonorable points instead. So in a team of eight, if one is leeching, two or three (depends on how you want to divide by three, I guess) must take time out from the PvP match to physically find and report the leecher OR the only one who happens to see and report gets popped for trying to do the right thing.

Makes sense, huh.

It's there so a single asshole, cannot get people dishonorable by reporting them, and get punished in return.

In theory, the system is made to prevent one person from giving a whole team the dishonorable hex because he didn't like their build, or they lost or whatever. In reality, most people don't want to take the time to report the leechers, or don't know how, or just don't care. The leecher gets a free ride through the match, and the one person who's bothered by it gets punished. Maybe one day they'll fix it.

The report system has always been flawed, and Anet has never cared enough to fix it which is typical.
