Alot of interviews mention playing GW2 lately. Its like they are almost making fun of the "vaporware" crowd.

Yeah, the ArenaNet plays GW2 wednesdays..... someone with a telephoto lens needs to go stakeout ArenaNet monitors

I have some family in Washington State (I was born in Seattle!)

Note on GW2, if GW1 was all about skills and there is rumors ad speculation that GW2 may be infinite level cap or even have a higher level cap they would not be true any more because through out that whole article there like "its about the skill, not the level, or the time played" with a higher level = more time playe =/= true to there orginal motto.
People play for thousands of hours now because they enjoy, not because they have to grind. so to have a higher level cap or go off focus of there origanal motto makes it more grind then play.
thats my thoughts

Also, to allow players the freedom to play together even if their friends are at a much higher (or lower) level, we are planning to implement a strong sidekicking system, similar to that used in City of Heroes.
We're applying this same philosophy to competitive play. Players will be able to engage in organized, balanced PvP (similar to GvG in the original Guild Wars) without needing to first level up characters, find equipment, or unlock skills. While inside the organized PvP area, all characters will be the same power level and will have access to the same equipment."
Also, i'm not so sure how easily I could infiltrate ArenaNet. I think they have a Charr guard at the entrance, not to mention if I did somehow get inside the building, the dreaded "Destroyer of Fun" would aggro me and vaporize me with his laser eyes.

I'm not getting my hopes up for this year. My guess is that we'll get some screens (2-3) and that's about it. 2010 is when we'll probably actually hear something solid.
This is why I'm a GW2 pessimist.PNG

"There are a few surprises that we've saved for the anniversary, though."
Given she talks about the events and the April Update, and especially the date of the interview wich is today, can't help but wonder, does that mean we'll get something tomorrow? As in, new content, features? Anything?

I thought she was refering to the makeovers and Nicholas and all his goodies.
Haxor
No.
I'm cautiously hoping for maybe a GW2 screen or some extra information, or maybe the announcing of the first book, and I'm being pretty optimistic I think.

her answers were kind of Sarah Palin-esque. saying something without saying anything.
oh well. nice to see talking about it anyway.

edit: unless the interview was made a few days ago wich is actually true since she talks about the stuff in the future tense. Damn it, oh well.

I edited my last post, got there on my own a little after. But was nice to believe we'd get something else.

Oh well, too bad. Can't say it's unexpected.

Heck, just a pic of a forest off in the middle of nowhere would get my excited....
This interview is almost the same as Mike's O'Brien's. Atleast Guild Wars 2 is getting a "little" hype.

In terms of Guild Wars 2, we've got a lot of great ideas, but you'll just have to wait and see when we're ready to start talking about them in more detail. |

Guild Wars 2 is going to be a much bigger game than the original Guild Wars. Our development team is twice as large as the dev team for Guild Wars, so we're putting a lot of development resources into it. |
I kid, of course.

Finally located it and was disappointed to find out it was a couple miles rather than a stone's throw away from these P.O. Box-style locations
At least Valve is within walking distance!

her actual quote was "I can see Russia from the Alaskan coast" which is true. The person you are quoting is Tina Fey of SNL, who did a very good impression of Palin.
I suggest you do your research before you quote.
Anyways on the topic..... meh more of the same slop, even the same words lifted from Mike O Brian's interview!

Aww, another interview with the same information. This is getting into the "cruel" range of punishment. Posting that Charr picture satisfied the "unusual" portion entirely. :P

i doubt she talks in fiscal years like an accountant. when is Europe's big gaming event? sometime after e3 right? Since Europe is a bigger pc gaming audience I would say we get info there.

Nothing I hadn't either read or heard before, but sometimes it's just nice to sit back and read the development process again. The amount of time and effort put into making a game like this astounds me.

actually I kinda agree with you; I can't get enough interviews for the promise of gleaning extra tid bits of info....... though I think if you are going to make an interview telling the exact same stuff as another, why bother wasting precious time with the copy and paste answers?
