Character model textures

Okay I have everything set on high and the game world and my character are nicely detailed, but the armor textures on other characters, when I am in a hub, are not very nice at all, tatoos being especially ugly looking. I know this was in Hellgate:London, so I am wondering if this is intentional or some bug on my part? If its supposed to be that way, any way to change it?

Intentional. While in an outpost all other chars and their armors are rendered at a lower resolution. Keeps your system from blowing up, or at least systems from when this game came out 4 years ago.
Check out the KSMod if you think your system can handle it.

It's deliberate. To prevent low-end machines from stalling/crashing in crowded towns, other players' armor is displayed at low-rez in town. Kuntor wrote a program called KSMod that can change this. Search this site for a download link. Like texmod, KSMod is tolerated, but definitely not supported, by a-net.

Also, for a general idea of what it does:
It creates a setting file that the .exe partially loads off of, and activates (1) what mods you have marked, in this case, telling the client to load all the high-res armor textures.

Aite thanks all, figured that was the case, since they did the same thing in that Hellgate:London game right before it bombed. I'll definitely check out that mod, thank yah.
