Account Ban; Payment Fraud?

Hey,
my account was banned 2 days ago for payment fraud.
I don't have a clue to why this happened, i had just purchased 2 skill packs
off the GW ingame store using a visa 100$ gift card with no other purchases on it.
Everything was added to my account and after about 30min of playing i got disconnected, and upon trying to log back in i got a message saying.
"Account Terminated for payment fraud, this action is permanent. Code=045"
Does anyone have a clue as to why this happened and what i can do to fix it?

Yeah, contact support for ANet AS WELL as the NCSoft store support I'm sure you simply punched in the wrong # some wheres along the line and the card was rejected but the systems check of the card went though AFTER the purchase.

While I agree with Elephant I am having a problem finding anything in the legal section that states your account will be banned for non payment or if the card fails. I did find this:
" If you purchase the Campaign and/or Additional Features online using , without limitation, a credit card, SMS, paysafecard or ELV we will automatically charge you through your chosen payment method for the applicable new Campaign and/or Additional Features purchases, plus any applicable taxes we are required to collect, where you authorize us to do so. All new Campaign and Additional Features purchases are payable in advance. YOU ARE FULLY LIABLE FOR ALL CHARGES TO YOUR ACCOUNT. You represent to NC Interactive that you are the authorized account holder or an authorized user of the chosen method of payment used to pay for a new Campaign and/or Additional Features purchase. You agree to promptly notify NC Interactive of any changes to your account number, its expiration date and/or your billing address, and you agree to promptly notify NC Interactive if your account expires or is cancelled for any reason."
Unless you are not the auth account holder? Or maybe it is thier way to notify you that you have a payment issue and cannot access your account until it is cleared up. Since they did not get the money or it failed to process you cannot access whatever you purchased until you get it straightened out. I would bet that once they get the money your account will be OK. I try not to use those kind of cards online it creates too many problems.

Alright well i just called and they should be getting back to me about that in an email within 24 hours =\ soo i guess we'll see.

I heard that accounts are never deleted when banned, just made impossible to access. Not sure if that is true, but if it is then nothing will have been lost and this "permanent" ban isn't so permanent after all (if they can flip the switch one way, why not back again?). *crosses fingers*

A friend of mine had this happen and was able to get it lifted. Just show em your online credit card receipt if they don't believe you. Keep contacting em.

until this morning) and I have sent an e-mail to support and they still haven't
got back to me..

Hi,
today my two friends got terminated ban for payment fraud they bought: 2 storage slots, makeover and 2 slots for new charcters but they pay regular visa card. There is one strange thing, both account are linked to one account in NCsoft and this NCsoft accont is baned to.
Could someone tell me what we can do with this, I'll be very glad for your help.

Account terminated a few hours ago. Same reason : payment fraud. So far, I found seven other cases on other forums.

I've heard of this happening a lot. Seems Anet cant' handle their site correctly nor prepaid cards.

Came back to GW recenly and uograded with new campaigns etc..(ok..they are new to me)
No problem..
Bought 2 extra storage panes and bonus mission pack...and a few days later get banned for payment fraud...
Hope the OP is the way it will be for all of us..really got back into GW and look forward to many hours adventuring..also just bought a second account from amazon....hmm
Bottom line..Issue appears to be something glitching at the online store..not any malicious intent by us customers..Let's just hope they restore our accounts asap..

checked with credit card and the payment was authorised so no reason for the ban.

Lots of people experienced account ban for Payment fraud.
So their fraud detection system is making many false positive cases.
Most of time simply contacting their support resolved the issue.
I agree it is not pleasant.

Finding a thread here was helpful. Knowing it's not an isolated case calmed me down a bit.
Whatever happens to my account, I did nothing wrong to cause its suspension, so I hope my ban will be lifted. Sure I won't be shopping on their store anytime soon.

Yes..this is an issue that they need to address quickly..
I think what is most worying is the fact that quite a few of us are still banned and thus missing out on entertainment we paid for..(Wonder who the defrauder would be seen as in this case?)
NCsoft or ANet or Both really need to rectify this,restore our accounts and also release some sort of statement about the problem so that others can be warned..

Well, I can't deny it pisses me off to have my account terminated but the worst is to be treated as a defrauder. I used their online shop many times, they always got their money. ~~

My card is a prepaid Visa Electron promoted by the Italian National Mail Society.
Called them to know wether any problem occurred, and they told me the latest transition went fine, but debit is still "pending". So, basically, NCSoft is yet to pick my money, and they probably have a problem their side accessing purchasers' accounts.
I just wish their automated system wasn't that overeager in delivering suspensions, since it's obviously their fault and all of us were probably incorrectly banned for that.
