I have "made over" my monk and Necro so decided to change my Rit and Assassin then realised one thing.

Chapter specific professions only appear to have options that relate to that chapter, no alternative faces hairstyles or anything.

I feel kind of disappointed by this as it affects 2 of my main characters.

Anyone else noticed this? is this something A-net are going to change or are these professions always going to have very limited options?

I think everyone's noticed that, yeah. It's because the makeover NPC opens up all options from all campaigns for that profession. If a profession is only from one campaign...there'll be less options.

It would be neat if there were ways to add some of the options from other professions, but I don't know if that'd even be possible.

It has always been that way, I wouldn't of expected them to change it for the makeover. I think these professions will always have limited options and they should. They are not core classes but are campaign specific. They are not found in Tyria or the other campaign. It would be like finding a Russian Samurai back in the day. Just not going to happen.

on a good note you can now have a really dark skinned assassin or rit, that's new. and they have all the hair color options and just those little things can make something really different. all and all I see little difference on dervish and paragon and I have deemed them a waste of makeover credits.

It is? My assassin's been dark-skinned from the start. I suppose it's a good option if you regret your initial choice, but... I don't think it's new, unless they added those options later.

So did Zenmai, Razah, Xandra, Hayda and Kahmu. And M.O.X. too, for that matter.

So in all honesty: Yes, there should be an extra set of hair- and face styles. Will it happen? I highly doubt it. The non-core profession have never been Anets favorite to begin with...

If you look at the options, there seem to be some cross-profession hairstyles.

There is at least one hairstyle that I found in female elementalists, paragons and mesmers (although in one of them it was horizontally flipped, yet still the same shape).

I also remember that after creation, I think sometime around the release of Factions, they added new faces and hairstyles to Prophecies.

A lot of people would thank if they took the time to check some new combinations... this necromancer face in this assassin, this mesmer hairstyle in this ritualist... etc...
Maybe some can connect and be used, the campaign specific professions get more choices, and Anet don't have to make new stuff from scratch, just mess around with already existing stuff, and everyone is as happy as they could be for some bits being moved around. Yay.

I'm pretty sure those recycled hair- and face styles you're mentioning were there before the Makeover bloke,

This was still really useful, a nice thing for some 4 year old players, like those warriors with the old wrinkled faces and greasy hairdo's from Prophecies. I know a lot of people wanted to redo their Prophecies chars solely for the makeover.

Never said there were not. I just say there could be more.

Zenmai is from Cantha, a former am fah.

Kahmu is from Elona.

Xandra is Luxon.

Okay, Razah: when he was introduced there were no ritualist heros nor EotN. Hayda: one hero of every profession was added in EotN, needed a paragon somewhere. MOX: who knows, it was just some freebe added later.

Okay character reskinning is now available in some form, lets now complain because there isn't enough reskinning options.

As soon as they made makeovers something we had to pay RL money to acquire, they opened up the door for this level of complaint. The $10 paid by someone with 10 ritualists doesn't get as much to the dollar as an account with 10 non-campaign-specific characters. One-third the options should arguably only cost one-third the price.
